    Powercreep in a Diablo game... How did we get here. Not gonna talk about Lord of Destruction when even Reaper of souls didn't pull this gacha mobile gaming strategy about making the "new thing" OP.

    Spiritborn is not only OP it's at least 2 tiers above rest of the classes this season. It's blatantly obscene at this point.

    The sooner Blizzard goes bankrupt and dissapears the better.

    Yeah they really need to nerf it yesterday

    Blizzard has said repeatedly, starting in past seasons, that they won't nerf overtuned classes mid season unless it's affecting server stability.

    Besides, while it's an issue, it isn't even in the top list of issues players are concerned about. Everyone knows the broken multiplicative stacking will get adjusted post season. There are other more frustrating issues at hand.

    1. No mid-season content update or event. This might have been less of an issue if the story was better and the final boss fights and conclusion to the cliff hanger were more satisfying. They aren't.

    2. Halloween event being a pathetic low effort nod compared to Diablo Immortal and WoW. This sort of ties into point one, but still stands out on its own.

    3. Duping and the shit show of their decades old antiquated website trading platform. People want the duping addressed that's been prevalent off and on since D2. Players want an Auction House with features that are resistant to RMT.

    4. Massive grind and poor drop rates for decent Ancestrals, Unique Ancestrals, and Mythics.

    5. Performance issues, stuttering, and flat out disconnects.

    6. The blatant push for people to play Dark Citadel, which has split the community between sweaty MMO players and ARPG Diablo fans.

    7. Some consumable keys and tributes have been bugged and don't reward the bonus drops they state, like Obducite for example.

    Those are some of the main issues. Spiritborn being massively overtuned does cause some frustration, especially with regards to Citadel because sweaty MMO gamers kick anyone who isn't optimized, but those issues above

    The massive grind in 4 is probably where the SB complaints start showing because SB builds can push through it faster and thereby go through drops faster on the quest to get top tier gear.

    I have a full set of 1GA Ancestrals, but the Uniques for my build aren't Ancestrals. I haven't gotten a Mythic drop yet. I can easily run Pit 50 and T3, but my build isn't complete and grinding Pit to level runes gets boring. Undercity is cool but still gets a bit rote after long farms. Dark Citadel is frustrating because most people don't want to rely on randos to do "raid-like" content.

    Overall the season is fun. I finished the battle pass and season and now I'm grinding to get my Paragon close to 250. Then I'm calling it done for a while.

    Well the SB is more than a little OP due to bugs.  I see zero reason not to fix bugs mid season really.  It just disincentivizes people from playing their favorite class if it's not SB.

    I really don't enjoy the game loop of D4 and the rogue doesn't have a single ranged build that I like (yet).  I've been playing other ARPGs instead as I simply find them a lot more fun.

    Blizzard stopped doing mid-season balances because they got major blow back from players when they did. People who actually play the game don't want major balance changes mid-season. They nerfed Sorc in the middle of an earlier season and the entire community went crazy.

    The conversation about mid-season balances has been going on but majority players are still very hesitant to request they move back to doing so. The consequences for future seasons and how it messes with progress are still fresh from the Sorc.

    What Blizzard needs to do is stop nerfing good builds from other classes each season to try and "shake up the meta".

    It's obvious that you don't play the game because you're digging in on SB being OP when that isn't the biggest concerns. By far the duping and auction house issue, lack of mid-season content update, and wildly inconsistent Ancestral drop rate and quality are much more important and at the forefront.

    Paragon is shared between classes in a season now so it makes running multiple characters through a season much friendlier and feedback on starting alts and having access to P200+ at hitting 50 is very popular.

    D4 isn't my favorite ARPG, but it's improved a lot and sits comfortably at #3 for me. The problem I have is that Blizzard is leaning hard into the "MMO" asepct of the ARPG and I'm not interested in that.

    What is missing in D4's loop?
    Normally I can explain exactly what's wrong with an ARPG, for me.  But for whatever reason I can't with D4.  All I can say is that I get bored really fast with the game.  Not a single aspect is close to addicting to me.  

    I get bored leveling, I find the world dull and uninspired, I hate the skill tree, I get bored doing helltides and I think the paragon squares are OK but nothing special.  I don't want a rehash of D3 rifts or GRs.

    I miss the economy of other ARPGs and either Auction Houses or fully functional trade APIs(POE).  I miss the feel of finding an item that is already great as is or finding something valuable to trade.  I'm not a fan of tempering items to refine them, it reminds me too much of Lost Ark honing.  I'd rather rely on RNG to find godly rolled items than keep recrafting the same items.

    Rune words weren't really what I was hoping for either.  And it feels like the expansion wasn't really ready to charge players for.

    Maybe I just need D4 to add a fun rogue spec with fun, strong ranged combat rather than all of the melee builds they seem obsessed with.

    I've had more fun in other ARPGs this year (Torchlight Infinite, Last Epoch and 40k:Inquisitor Martyr) and just don't want to return to D4 as it is.  I'm not in the D4 is bad group because I can't really quantify it that way.  And I recognize that a lot of people really enjoy it.

    Ah Ok then. They said they will give a fck all about their players issues so I guess thats cool. They have said "go fck yourselfs" so then we good... Mental how much some people can swallow.

    SB is not OP it's plain stupid. They reached lvl 150 rifts 2 weeks after realease doing it in less than 2 minutes. Rest of the classes can't beat 125 under 15 minutes.

    There is no point to play anything other than SB if you wanted to rush and push endgame to maximum. Is not that it's a bit stronger this is like having a cheat code.

    You don't need to be any kind of "sweaty mmo" player to understand that you have a class that does 10x more damage 10x faster than any other class. If you want to push for the hardest contect and farm it fast there is no room for anything else.

    The moral hazard this creates is just bonkers. Buy the new thing if you want to be competitive for the next 4 months. Then we will adjust things so that it's still strong but the headstart is only if you bought day 0 fullprice. Wink wink.

    This is obscene. A full price ARPG (ranging 100$ to 160$ base+expansion) with predatory gatcha mobile tactics it's first year of life.

    Seriously. I don't believe you that this season is fun. This Is the worst season since launch season.

    The new class and especially with it being so OP is a major selling point for the new expansion. They are not going to nerf it during the Holiday season with the game on sale and trying to increase the playerbase. Just wait to early next year, they will nerf it into oblivion.

    The massive grind in 4 is probably where the SB complaints start showing because SB builds can push through it faster and thereby go through drops faster on the quest to get top tier gear.

    I have a full set of 1GA Ancestrals, but the Uniques for my build aren't Ancestrals. I haven't gotten a Mythic drop yet. I can easily run Pit 50 and T3, but my build isn't complete and grinding Pit to level runes gets boring. Undercity is cool but still gets a bit rote after long farms. Dark Citadel is frustrating because most people don't want to rely on randos to do "raid-like" content.

    Overall the season is fun. I finished the battle pass and season and now I'm grinding to get my Paragon close to 250. Then I'm calling it done for a while.

    Ah Ok then. They said they will give a fck all about their players issues so I guess thats cool. They have said "go fck yourselfs" so then we good... Mental how much some people can swallow.

    SB is not OP it's plain stupid. They reached lvl 150 rifts 2 weeks after realease doing it in less than 2 minutes. Rest of the classes can't beat 125 under 15 minutes.

    There is no point to play anything other than SB if you wanted to rush and push endgame to maximum. Is not that it's a bit stronger this is like having a cheat code.

    You don't need to be any kind of "sweaty mmo" player to understand that you have a class that does 10x more damage 10x faster than any other class. If you want to push for the hardest contect and farm it fast there is no room for anything else.

    The moral hazard this creates is just bonkers. Buy the new thing if you want to be competitive for the next 4 months. Then we will adjust things so that it's still strong but the headstart is only if you bought day 0 fullprice. Wink wink.

    This is obscene. A full price ARPG (ranging 100$ to 160$ base+expansion) with predatory gatcha mobile tactics it's first year of life.

    Seriously. I don't believe you that this season is fun. This Is the worst season since launch season.

    Besides, while it's an issue, it isn't even in the top list of issues players are concerned about. Everyone knows the broken multiplicative stacking will get adjusted post season. There are other more frustrating issues at hand.

    1. No mid-season content update or event. This might have been less of an issue if the story was better and the final boss fights and conclusion to the cliff hanger were more satisfying. They aren't.

    2. Halloween event being a pathetic low effort nod compared to Diablo Immortal and WoW. This sort of ties into point one, but still stands out on its own.

    3. Duping and the shit show of their decades old antiquated website trading platform. People want the duping addressed that's been prevalent off and on since D2. Players want an Auction House with features that are resistant to RMT.

    4. Massive grind and poor drop rates for decent Ancestrals, Unique Ancestrals, and Mythics.

    5. Performance issues, stuttering, and flat out disconnects.

    6. The blatant push for people to play Dark Citadel, which has split the community between sweaty MMO players and ARPG Diablo fans.

    Well the SB is more than a little OP due to bugs.  I see zero reason not to fix bugs mid season really.  It just disincentivizes people from playing their favorite class if it's not SB.

    I really don't enjoy the game loop of D4 and the rogue doesn't have a single ranged build that I like (yet).  I've been playing other ARPGs instead as I simply find them a lot more fun.

    Blizzard stopped doing mid-season balances because they got major blow back from players when they did. People who actually play the game don't want major balance changes mid-season. They nerfed Sorc in the middle of an earlier season and the entire community went crazy.

    The conversation about mid-season balances has been going on but majority players are still very hesitant to request they move back to doing so. The consequences for future seasons and how it messes with progress are still fresh from the Sorc.

    What Blizzard needs to do is stop nerfing good builds from other classes each season to try and "shake up the meta".

    It's obvious that you don't play the game because you're digging in on SB being OP when that isn't the biggest concerns. By far the duping and auction house issue, lack of mid-season content update, and wildly inconsistent Ancestral drop rate and quality are much more important and at the forefront.

    Paragon is shared between classes in a season now so it makes running multiple characters through a season much friendlier and feedback on starting alts and having access to P200+ at hitting 50 is very popular.

    D4 isn't my favorite ARPG, but it's improved a lot and sits comfortably at #3 for me. The problem I have is that Blizzard is leaning hard into the "MMO" asepct of the ARPG and I'm not interested in that.
    And WoW has all these solo elements ...

    I can't figure out what's going on in Blizzard's head. It feels like they're putting less effort into D4 than Immortal, but it's supposed to be the flagship of the IP.

    Multiplayer could be great if they thought it through and put some effort into it, but it feels like it's just ideas from WoW wedged into the game.

    The season feels pretty good to me, but if they lean even harder into mandatory group raids and dungeons, then I'm going to skip the next update. It just feels bad. It feels dumbed down from 'real' group dungeons in WoW, but is only possible with 2 - 4 people because at least one other person is needed to unlock access. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    While I do like the game, it's a far cry from what WH40K Inquisitor or Grim Dawn deliver to me.
