This is what they complain about? Why don't y'all complain about it taking so dern long to launch live. This game is just something that keeps making them more and more money, they don't need to release it at all. I am an old time gamer and I am possitive I will be dead and buried IF and WHEN this releases...in holiday spirit "Bah humbug!"

Wait.  This is like going to the RV and Boat show....but with digital vehicles in a virtual convention center?

People actually set aside time in their real lives to "attend" this?

    FFS.

    Yada Yada Yada

So much whining while overlooking that people can play and use 100+ vehicles for FREE over two weeks until Dec 4th.

And OMG some people dont find an in game company ship booth on the mini map .... while they could just look up and see it on the other side of the exhibition hall. Advertised in BIG letters. Blinded by prejudice it seems.

And it does not matter if the community has really big wallets ... because it costs you ZIP NADA ZERO NOTHING ... it is GRATIS. FREE.

    Have fun

Take a step back. People actually set aside time to move around meaningless pixels on a screen as they "play a game"?

People spend (waste) years of their time doing this??

Oh no, I typically post while multi-tasking something else, like sitting on the throne in the loo.  ;)

Focus time is for actual gaming....and watching Netflix .... :)

I just retired 2 weeks ago, plenty more time for everything now, even posting.

But no RV / Boat shows ... ugh.  (Gun shows? Definitely).

Congrats on retirement. I retired a couple of years ago. I worked from home for the last 10 years so one day I got up and just didn't log in to work.

I buy all the food for our small town food bank and bring in truckloads 3 times a week. I still look forward to "days off". Used to be I worried about CPU chips and the next 3nm process, now I worry about whether we'll run out of turkeys (gave out 500 last year at Thanksgiving) and the price of eggs. :)

Kind of.  But imagine going to a boat show, picking out some yachts you’re interested in, clicking a button, and then having them waiting for you at your dock so you can try them for free for a few days

Update: Before we realized how bad IAE was messed up, I ran my little Mustang into my roommate, who was testing an Aegis Hammerhead, and blew myself up.

OK, boat shows would be a lot cooler if they worked like that, so I can see the appeal.

They left out, "...and the elevator kills you on the way to your dock..." bit.

But really, the Freefly events are very smart marketing for SC.  On multiple levels.  If Sandy's the one, she's really The ONE!

It’s really what disarms all the complaints from new players.  I mean, they literally have events where you can play the game for free and try out those  hundred (thousand?) dollar starships.

I did it not too long ago.  I have an account but 2 buddies don’t.  We all played together and got to fly the big ships.

Lots of issues with grouping, stability/lag, and actual gamification (if I recall simple things like eating required 4 or 5 steps) but there’s an actual semi functional set of code behind it. We did a few missions but nothing hooked us.  Try again next year maybe.

It's the gamification rather than simulation that concerns me, how much gameplay is there going to be at proper launch?

I would like to see that being put it, I remember taming horses is BDO was fun. In fact I would like to see any sort of gameplay, that was just a guy walking around a herd. Like I said less simulation, more gameplay.
