I've yet to see a Web3 game that even tries to be Web3. The alleged goal of Web3, as I understand it, is to decentralize control of data away from the big corporate Internet power brokers like Facebook, Google, and Amazon and put the power in the users hands. However, every game I've seen, Ember Sword included, seems to just be an attempt for a company to become the new Facebook. They're like the banker is a game of Monopoly. They hold all the cards. They set the prices. They maintain the value of the various NFTs they want to peddle. After all if the game shuts down your NFTs are worthless. It just all sounds like a get rich quick scam to me and I stay far away.
