the code wasnt in the game at the time of launch, and sony admitted it (the lied to everyone). they just implemented it less than a month ago, and no jedi are out as of yet. the only response from anyone in sony is that some people are "getting close", however this has no meaning since at launch they specifically stated that the force sensitive slot was in the code, which they later admitted was not.
the whole jedi thing is only hurting them at this point. dozens if not hundreds of people are quitting a month out of frustration since they play 10+ hours a day and have not unlocked it yet, also - the game is so brutally bugged in every aspect people are quitting since they cant play the game as it was intended.

Is this a window for lawers? I mean if there was a promise and people bought the game because of that, can there be legal pursuit? If they explicitaly wrote on the box that you CAN be a jedi and the code wasn't implemented, well... Maybe someone with better skill in consumer rights could response. I personally don't own a copy and I'm not versed in legal matters (uh, that didn't sound well). For people that have the cd though, might be worth to check it out... I don't want to sound like a greedy man (okay, I am) but the thing is I hate it when big corps don't do what they promised.

Yes you could sue them BUT, SONY stated that since the Jedi code are on the CDs you had purchased, they were not technically lying. It was during the first hot fix the very first time you downloaded the very first patch, the Jedi code was taken out. So, they were lying but technically the cds you physically purchased had the code on it. They are tricky.
Heh, other than that, don't get me started with SOE and SWG. The defamed the Lucas Arts name for the benefit of fast cash.
Hell, Id play Sims online before paying another month of SWG...and thats saying something

Quite frankly they just got stuck with the jedi thing.
here is the dilemma they face-
1)it is SWG people expect jedis
2)Jedis have to be way more powerful then other classes and in MMORPG class balance is essential.
Now EQ and DAoC 2 -4 yrs down the line i still struggling with class balance.So if SoE made jedis and clearly they will be overpowered would this not cause problems ingame.
Originally SoE said they will not be jedis.People screamed and they bowed to pressure and made the FS slot.
This was a bad bad mistake .They should have stuck to their guns and calimed what was said in star wars episode 4 something like "the jedi flame has long been extinct you my friend are the last" referring to darth vader.
After all we know this game is placed just after the destruction of the first death star and there were only 1 living jedi and 2 sith loards that we were told about(yoda,emperor,darth vader) .Luke was not even a jedi then.
So SWG without jedis would have been right .
Now what they got was 1000s of customers spending months to unlock a FS slot(which they had to make very hard to limit the number of jedis ingame before everyone becomes one and turns it into a jedi only game).
This people now complain because its very hard to unlock.
Eventually SoE will bow to pressure once more and open the slot.In a few weeks the first jedis will appear and start cutting everything in sight in half.
Then other classes(people who have not opened the slot) will complain and SoE will be forced to make it easier to become jedis.
In the end within a year half the server if not more will have jedis and the game will be in total shambles.
This what comes of listening to the public and lucas arts.
I can guarantee you that if they stuck to their guns and not made jedis in first place the game would have much less complaining and people will get on with playing the game.
Right now half the server is obssessed with been jedis ,the other half more reasonable players are not bothered but once the first super overpowered jedi comes into place it will be mayhem of complaints.
