still have to pay for CD-KEY?

well, i downloaded the game, only to find out i still have to buy a CD-KEY online for about $70 ( there is no where in my location i can buy this from a store)

is this information on the official website still valid? seems pretty pathetic you have to pay release price for a game that wont be making too many more sales... i dont mind paying for a monthly subscription, just dont have the cash to pay outright.

    Im in the same position, have been reading and stuff for days now. Holding back alittle. A trial would be great.

    I have a similar post and situation and find it very hard to understand how on the exact same web site they sell the boxed version for 19.99 and the online key code for 49.99 /boggle. I have a customer service ticket open about it at NC soft customer support but the only reply I have recieved so far is that the are forwarding my request. Ill let you all know what comes out of it.

    Has to do with the contract of local retailers/publishers, (Valve had to do the same with HL2) or people would just buy the cheaper online version instead. (The contract most likely states cd-keys/digital download thats why its so messed up from the customers point of view).

    You can go here and download it for $19.95 US and the game will activate when you log on and make an account. I have used this site in the past and have been pleased.
