i just stared playing monster and me i like it . i liked mu online for a month then got bored. rubies of even tide is a freakin joke i played it for five seconds i was lost. conquer on line i played but it didnt get my attention maybe ill try it again since alot of people like it. martial heroes i played for a week and it got boring.. endless online is always too crowed to even get into the server... war of conquest is sooooo addicting a t first then boring as hell idk im new to mmorpg's so i bet ill find others that are way better and plus i never paid for one yet
Suprisingly, as good and absolutely unique the game is, and being completely free with very little limitation, no one ever mentioned Shattered Galaxy.
Its MMORTS, the one and only; its a great game..one of the few mmos that kept me addicted well after the retail came out. Even though it's free, no one ever hears about it..I guess it has a steep learning curve..
The Best free MMORPG is Anarchy Online. Seriously, its a solid game. It wasnt even free untill now. I would still play it, but ive played for 3 years, so yeah im burned out hehe. Really, if you want a awesome FREE MMORPG play AO. Nothing can beat it in the range of being FREE. And as far as twinking goes, this is the only game with the most diverse twinking options ever created in a game. Like you dont 4 stat points and 2 skill point when you lvl like most game, you get a chuncky 200000 points and you can put those in any thing you want. like ive seen lvl 20 agents with ql 100 rifles on, and ive seen lvl 60 agents no even able to put lvl 90 rifle on. Its all about twining. Very fun game. It has many dungeons, boss, uber loot, raids. Theres TONS of weapons and armor to choose form. You hardly see any 2 people looking the same. You can get Yalm, air cars. and fly around hehe. And did I mention its free? It does have Notum Wars, Shadow Lands, Alien Invasion exapnaion packs, but you need to pay to play them. They even coming out with a new expansion pack that is only for pvp. So yeah, for being gree this is THE BEST game you can get. I personally would still play it if there were more people playing the game.

Shot Online - free and possiblly the most unique MMO u can find for free. It like an action RPG with hardly and story though, but real fun.
ROSE online - a very cutesy game but awesome graphics .
Martial Heroes - the best oriental MMo on the net period. it has the makings to be one of the more innovative MMo's to date. Some battle unbalances and minor problems but other than that, if u are tired of medevil MMO's this it the best oriental MMO to date.

The best free MMO's right now are Martial Heroes and Gunz online (up to a certain point, everyone gets tired of it around lv20). GTH...that game is oh so dull. Its an awesome example of how a game's visuals and graphics draw people in even though it sucks so dearly.
why do ppl keep saying martial heroes is so great, thought that game was one of the ugliest games i've ever seen, terrible battle system too or i might be confusing that with Thang which sucked just as much, would much rather recommend KAL Online as you grind game

I have to agree with you on some of your picks, but ROSE, while i liked the construction of the games website...the game itself was meaningless...Maybe you can tell me what to do to better enhance my experience. The game that i didn't see on your list was Flyff, while it is still in beta testing and they are going to start a second beta test in November, I think the fact that you can fly in this game will be pretty nice. It will be a change for the normal MMORPG games.

Runescape's graphics couldn't be like guild wars or anything, because they run on javasun. The graphics on this game is already nearly impossible for javasun. However I wouldn't care much if it took a year to get the new graphics open, atleast they keep the forums open.

I did want to bring up Anarchy Online. They are allowing you to download the original game at no charge and you can play it for free until Jan 2007. You don't need a credit card to sign up or anything, it is absolutely free to play AO. If you want to play the 2 expansions then you have to pay the monthly fee and you have to pay for the expansions but you get the original game at no charge. Also right now if you are playing a free account and you want to get the Shadowlands expansion it is free and includes the Notum wars booster also for free.
I play a lot of free MMORPGs and to be honest this is an older game but it is excellent from a gameplay perspective with a great community. It is well worth the price (free) to download it and take a look for yourself.

I have it on 3 computers at my house (2 roomates) and I have at least 7 r/l friends that play the game and we don't have near the lag in AO as in other games we play such as SWG and EQ2.
In SWG go to any major starport or in EQ2 walk through the cities/raid and then play AO and by comparison you will think AO flies.
I have had lag in big PVP battles and during raids but overall for a game that is 5 years old, you can't beat it.

The community has alot of very helpfull people too.(www.funcom.com) I started as a free player about a year ago, and have since become a paying customer because I love the game so much, and I can use the expansions. This game has a steep learnign curve because of the sheer variety of things you can do so it's not for "game light player types".
