Just do as Sackynut says, if there is only one user account, and it isn't set to automatically logon when the system starts, then the only way he can get in is by knowing your password. I used this when my sister had a problem of using my comp when i was at work or elsewhere, i normally wouldn't have a problem with it, but she's the type of person that thinks she knows what she's doing, but really doesn't. She turned off my firewall at one point and constantly installed spyware and didn't know it.

It seems that they don't trust me in my own room with the door shut. I used to do projects (they call it "experiments" which could be anything in their book) in my room (door shut) when I was a kid but I stoped once they start opening my door. Becuase my room is through the hallway, they like to take a peek at what I'm doing....and somtimes spy.
I used a cuss word when I was playing Halo PC, (about 2 months after it released) during a session on mic...and my dad is like. "Yeah I herd that" and im like "wtf" (in my head). I'm not much of a cusser but when somthing really bad happends I spit one out.

my dad and sorta my mom are like this too. of course WAAYYYY not this extreme, but they do these kinda of things. my sister gets treated way better. but if im in my room with my door closed, they will always knock first and ask me if they can come in. and anything i pay for i can do as i please with. do as the other guy said, take control of your life, if you can even shut your door when your changing that is messed up. and if my parents constantly snooped through my computer like that. i would go crazyyyyyyyyyy !!! if you never did anything to make them suspect you are doing something bad then....

No, I don't have porn <_< (does my ex-girlfriend shaking her a*s count?). He would still snoop my computer anyway when he can get the chance (when I'm not home). I think he was snooping today. For the first while he looked at me funny, and my parents encouraged me to get off the computer. Then after about a week or two my dad came and talk to me, and I tried to keep a straight face but burst out laughing. I just told him, I was simply doing that to show him what kinda screwed up ideas they can get from just looking at what ive been looking at. I dont even bother erasing my history anymore. Neither of my parents have even thought about snooping on my computer for atleast a year now.
Thats just my sucess story, but thats the sorta way I solve problems. Im sure you can think of somthing.

I was about 13 when my dad tried to search the history on my computer. Luckly for me that is all they knew. I understood though that they need to search and where being good parents because I was at that age. Of course I still was a naughty little boy.

I got this program called Magic Folders thats really easy to use.. All you do is put folders you want to hide in the program then make 3 buttons to bring up the password box.. once you do that it asks for your password. Then right when you want to hide it again you just exit then click hide folders. It cant be deleted or anything unless you have the program open. I did lose the shortcut once but you can just make a new shortcut by putting in the folder name.

really, work more , play less. playing less will also roll into the next point, make some friends. find some with similiar issues. ask one or two to go apartment hunting with you and move into a nice apartment. if there is 3 of you, unless your in new york or san diego or something you can rent a really nice house/apt. for max 300 a month each=900 total that should include utilities and eveyrting.
probably not what you want to hear but the hardest step is the first one out the door. just my suggestion be nice and cordial and just tell your parets its about time you move out, dont tell them they are arsehat peeping toms and you cant stand them, that way your mom will still do your laundry and you can still stop by and eat and stuff..
and you might want to take the dog with you but its more of a pain that its worth really. cleaning, feeding, security deposit good as gone... buy a fish
until you do that, there nothing you can do. its his house, he can look through whatever he wants.
My parents don't have enough computer skills to turn my comp on, let alone go thru it. I don't think they really care either. You should just sit down with your dad and have a talk, man to man, Im sure when he was your age he had to choke tha chicken every now and then.

Then after about a week or two my dad came and talk to me, and I tried to keep a straight face but burst out laughing.
