23, play about 3-4 hours a day on a weekday. I have a job, I go to school, I have a girlfriend (she plays too), and if I was with this girl for long enough I'd say we'd be having sex... and if she reads this it's gonna either be longer or shorter to spite you all.

The reason it's nice to be older and play games is cause we have jobs, and therefor have the funding to afford games that we want to play... and are not required to beg for free MMOGs to be better. I pay for 2 subscriptions (mine and hers), and still have money to live off of.

It's all about time management. ;-)

We really need to get our heads out of the stereotype that gamers are geeks with no lives.
That BS is so old.. and so not true this day and age.

Believe me or not but I'm a 23 yearold female myself, I go to school and hold a part time job, a boyfriend .. all the while playing a game that supposedly has the harshest grind of all MMOs - L2.
Not saying all this to impress anyone, just to prove that the face of gaming has changed. Most of the people I've met playing games do not fit the no-life gamer stereotype.
So stop believing what you're told to believe, and start believing what you know.

And to the 13 yearold that's taking on the 20+ gang, it sounds to me you're insecure about your own age and so you're starting off with an attack. It's importnat that you know (and your parents know) that it is you, young tweens, that are most unsuitable to play MMOs.

Most older gamers I know are people that have done the whole highschool-postsecondary-getting a job bit and are stable enough to take on MMOs. You on the other hand, are still in the development stage. If you screw up your education at the point you're at, you're limiting your own chance to grow. So becareful little one ^_^ Do MMOs in moderation and stay in school.

    MMO Fav List:
    Lineage 2 | 5x Silver Ranger, 7x Shillien Elder <- Active
    WoW | 6x Rogue, 1x Priest
    Anarchy Online | 8x MetaPhysicist
Saga of Ryzom | Matis Light Armourer

Waiting for: Age of Conan, Lineage 3

Well said. Stay in school so you can afford to continue to do MMOs.

Hey now, maybe that is just his way of saying he is only 13 and he wishes we could "twink" or powerlevel him from age 13 to age 25 or so, so he'd fit in better with most of the cool players he sees in all the mmos he plays ::::01:: ...Maybe he also wants to be older so he could have a gf and get laid as he mentioned too! ::::20::

lol, this is yet another statistic and sounds as far fetched (if not more so) then my stats I posted on my 10,000 thread congrats thread.

18% of divorces come from mmorpgs huh?? lmfao. That's insanely stupid.

First of all, there is a VERY high chance that any divorces where one of the people may play an mmo there are many other problems besides game playing as well.

Secondly, IF a person spends too much time playing mmos while married, then there's a good chance he/she doesn't care nearly enough about the neglected spouse to begin with. So underlying problems are more to blame then the result of those problems.. which would be one person "retreating" to an mmo world.

Thirdly, and probably most important, I'd love to know how in the hell 18% of marriages are ruined by mmos when only about 3 or 4% of Americans even play mmos. And that means all players, even extremely casual mmo players.

... And as far as a 13 year old umm owning my wife, well if he means what I think he does by this and ANY 13 year old "owns" my wife then at that time I will give up on the idea of marriage altogether and maybe only then would I put mmorpgs at a higher priority then my wife and children who I love with everything that I am. ::::39::

But funny none-the-less, dragontames. Now go back to your favorite mmo and log in and whine, beg for stuff (like PL and $$) and get your avatar "owned", as you like to say, by some level 3 rat eh? ::::39::

At your age I was already experimenting with girls image

Anyway, I believe that after 30 is the right time to play games.
Your job is stressing, your wife is always nagging, you are too old to go to nightclubs.
The only things that can relax you, is to play a good old game.
I am sure that older people will agree with me image

According to your profile, you haven't 'owned' anybody.   And if you did, I hope you asked mom to change your sheets when you woke up.

I'm not sure how we got derailed to this. But it's no longer amusing.

Sorry, but this kid's getting on my nerves.

And yeah, this thread needs a lock.   It's useless now.

First off, you're 27.  So take some of your own advice and dont play a single game until you turn 30.

Second off, your e-p33n is huge, what with the bragging about having sex at age 13.  I totally think your awesome now.

I'm pushing 40 and I agree with ste2000.  It's the people below 30 who should feel embarassed about wasting their time playing online games.

When I was 13 I spent my free time hunting and enjoying the outdoors and doing things with my friends.  In my 20's I was partying with my friends, chasing girls, having crazy/stupid real life adventures.

I never even played a PC game or got on the internet untill I was 30.  Of course, the internet didn't exist when I was a kid and I was only barely aware of it's existence in my 20s.

But the point is that I was out in the real world doing real things when I was younger.  Now that I'm older and don't party as much it seems perfectly ok to waste time playing online games.  If I'm going to stay home it's either that or TV and there ain't much worth watching on TV.  I just feel sorry for kids who waste their entire youth sitting in front of a computer.  I had my fun, I have lots of memories to look back on.  What will you kids who spend all of your time playing computer games have to remember when you're my age?

    link please

Also, dont flame again..I would really hate to do something "adult like" to your account

eh..nevermind with the link. I think you made up that number. Anyways Im locking this thread because I have a feeling if it continued, you would say something more sillier and that would not be good for you.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
