Lineage II Collector's DVD Edition?

I'm really thinking about buying Lineage II. I usually order from EBgames online because I live in the boonies. They have the CE DVD edition in stock but the regular is back ordered. My question is should I buy the CE DVD version or wait until the other version is in stock? Will I have everything I need to have the most upto date Lineage II? I was also thinking about ordering the Direct2Drive version but am worried about not having a DVD/CD for backup. I have a DVD and CD drive but I don't have a CD burner.

Well as far as the D2D Download it goes through File Planet so if you don't have an account you just make one and download it. Then it will always be there under your account to re-download again if you should need it. I am probably going to just get the CE myself as I would like to have the documentation though I'm sure much of the info is out of date.

Just buy the collectors edition. It usually is cheaper believe it or not.

You will have several hours of updates so be forwarned. You can also buy it for a lot more from the main site but it will be more up to date and the updates will be fewer. The mini prima guide can be helpful but it is out of date.

I just ordered the Lineage II CE off EBgames. I should have it by the end of this week or the first of next week. I'm now going to figure out what class I want to be from reading the different L2 forums. I always like to play Ranger/bow characters. I played a Ranger / Scout in EQ, EQOA and EQ2. I also played a Hunter in WoW. I also like to play Mage / Wizard type characters 2nd best. Thanks for the help.

There is a player questions area on the main forums so that is the place to ask. Also.. just do a little searching... there are several new players who have been asking the same questions.

And remember... the noob areas are a bit light of people... there are people ... they have just lvled up and have moved on.
