Question about Subclasses and Race

Ok.  Lets say that I am a light elf dagger user(which I am not) and when I hit 75 I want to go human gladiator or something (which I don't).  In fact I dont think light elf dagger can become gladiator but just go with me. 

Would my light elf gladiator be faster than a human gladiator? or have any advantages or disadvantages for being a light elf?  If there are some are they negligible?  I hope there are differences because it would open up a lot of different playstyles I think and strategies.  Anyway any help would be appreciated thanks.

your stats will change to human alltogether
only your inventroy , karma, pvp/pk name clan membership transfer
you are essentially a human
