Was always interested, debating giving it a try finally.

Well I was always interested in Horizons, but the horrid launch and all really made me hold off. Now, a long time later, I'm starting to wonder if it'd be worth a try.

I enjoy being able to solo, basically play at my own pace and group when I want to or find a good guild/group of people that I enjoy. Is that possible in this game? Can I solo from 1 - 120, and I mean in a way that isn't me killing under-con mobs but ones that equal my level?

I like making things die with weapons vs spells, and wouldn't mind working mining/weaponsmithing/armorcrafting up as well. I also do enjoy rogue-type characters. Of the two, a basically stab them to death rogue vs a tank in metal with a big weapon, which are the better soloing type characters?

And what server would I choose to play on, are there certain ones devoted to certain playstyles? I'd prefer one that is more RP based if that exists. PvP isn't a major focus of mine so that aspect can be ignored.

Well I answered my own server question, it seems that Order would be my first choice as it's a RP server.

Yes to the above.

It's a very easy paced game, and actually fun to solo in.  Unlike other games where soloing is difficult cause you can never seem to find those mobs.  Only thing in this game is that mobs will aggro even when well below your level which makes for an annoying time.

I enjoy this game and I have yet to even join a group.  Mostly due to lack of players though.

I see I'm a day late in finding your post, so not sure a reply is even needed.

For ALL of the reasons you stated, Horizons will be an enjoyable online experience for you. It's got the things you say you enjoy, & then some!

You're gonna love the Craft system. You really can get creative in what you choose to learn & make.

The Community's not going to give you any juvenile harrassment because you're not into pvp. A lot of us aren't.

Check out the official Horizons Forums for lots of sage advice & very friendly guidance & tips, from the longtime Community Members.

Horizons has had a rough go of it, with ratings; & early on it deserved the bad rep.

But the Company now behind it (Tulga) & the Player Community are equally committed to making & keeping Horizons a high Quality fun experience for all of us.  They update it regularly, & keep the content fresh, with an ever-evolving storyline.
