Best gaming memories ever!

Just saw the Mmorpg memories you'll never forget, and I just thought it would be cool to see how many retro gamers that are on here.

A few of my glorious gaming moments:

Command & Conquer:

This game gotta be my favorite game of all time. I remember having Dune 2 on my dads comp. I played it a lot. Loved, and still loves RTS games. Well, Once me and my mother visited a family. The family's father had just bought C&C. Man I remember sitting on he lap, listing to voice telling me what to do i certain situations. Later on, he graped a stand and placed a paper on it. Then he took an antenna and acted the big war general, drawing maps and line telling me where to strike and making danger signs where i should not attack from... Damn That was cool...

I bought it myself later....

Tiberian Sun:

I once played a 2v2 online. I was on a team with a 40 years old man, and against some "leet, uberhaxx0r k1dz". They keep talking crap. My buddy didn't care much... untill he just said : "stupid kids" and all of a sudden, he engis took over all the power, banshee copters raped all their buildings, flametongue tanks consumed the units, while Commando pwned all their units. All in one. I was all like : Wow.

Just a couple...

One of my best gaming memories ever were a "couple" of things...actually, there were so many but these two were the most "prominent"

    1. Anarchy Online: First mmorpg I ever played. The opening movie was great. I walked into Omni-Tech's Rome districts and was overwhelmed. This was about 3.5 years ago.

    2. Lineage 2: The music in this game is simply some of the best music ever placed into a mmorpg (fantasy music)....EVE's music is awesome too. But just the music made such an impression on me. When I heard the music, I was drawn in for a moment.

oh you meant regular gaming...lol nm

Well...the best "gaming" memories ever was an old 1989 Dungeons and Dragons game on the Commadore 64 and the first Wing Commander on an IBM computer (back in 1990).

Jet Moto. My first PS1 game lol. I still play it some times. The crazy thing is that i still can't beat the double black diamond. And Halo 2. Counting that I'm level 36 in X-Box live and team slayer is just amazing. Some people hate halo 2 but i still love it.

3: The time in ghost recon where I killed someone like a mile away with a rocket launcher.

Playing Final Fantasy 7. It was the first Playstation game I owned and the first real RPG I played. Needless to say, for the time and my age, I was blown away by the graphics and the game was so fun and original. (up until then it was mostly side scrollers and action games on Sega and Nintendo).

That, and one of the first games I ever played was the original Warcraft. I didnt play the original much but I played Warcraft 2 for a loooong time. Great game! Starcraft is still the king of RTSs to this day. ::::28::

Oh, and the first time I played Counter Strike (1.5). I played Quake 3 alot, CS was the first online tactical shooter I played, and it was so much fun. I still play it to this day and is still my favorite shooter ever made.

One last thing ::::35:: The first time I saw FF8 (mainly the kick ass CG scene where they were riding in the transport ships towards the beach as there were guns and explosions going off everywhere.). Compared to FF7, I was in awe. The CG and graphics in general were such a huge step, it was just amazing.

Playing through the entire Baldur's Gate series the first time. Such a great series. Other than that, the ending to Vampire: Bloodlines, since it made my character look like such a bad ass. In Gothic I, I obliterated an entire town with an army of skeletons and golems, totally legit as well. It was great because in the middle of the fight one of my skeletons attacks the golem, so of course the golem launches the skeleton five feet in the air, killing it in one hit. In Baldur's Gate I where I robbed the Museum. It wasn't a quest, (well later on I found out it was) the main characer was a thief, so I decided to pull off the heist of a lifetime. That's about it that are really special to me

    Oh lesse.

    1. The time where me and my ally massed an enemy base in Red Alert 2 on one of those modded maps, and utterly destroyed him.

2.Way back in FF8. Such a good time occupier.

    3. Diablo 2, man what an awesome time I had fighting through it.

Lastly. Halo 1, I did an 8 hour jam of multiplayer action and enjoyed every second.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

Beating Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time. Thats was the single hardest game I have played in my life. The fights were ridiculously hard later in the game, sending 30 of the games toughest creatures at you just pissed you off (The bridge fight kicked my ass HORRIBLY, Farah always went downimage). When I died at a jumping puzzle (Which was frequent) Its the like the game laughed at me. Then when I finally beat it, it felt so good. I must have spent AT LEAST 5 minutes dancing in front of the TV. The ending music was cool tooimage.

Playing the original Dune game, with all the characters talking to you, the cartoony graphics. I loved the way the story line evolved. This game was a real suprise to me. I remember building the best army I could only to not even use half of them! When the game was over I was pretty sad, beat it twice since.

When Warcraft 2 game out I was all over it. I didn't have much money back then, so I kept replaying the Demo. I mastered the Demo and finally got War2 for x-mas. Awhile after getting it microsofts Gaming zone came out. I was the only person on their with a cable modem it seemed (cable was brand new back then). I hosted and played so many matches and was ranked #1. Only game I have ever invested that much time in to, to be the best. My memory of it is building a ton of farms as walls, towers, and using catapults on auto-fire to drive my enemy nuts. I would sometimes place them right outside of their town/base to annoy them. In one game, I went nuts and decided to build only ranged towers and units. It was an island map and I was surrounded by typical farm walls and trees. After the other player learned that they sent an army of dragons, was so funny to watch them fly into death from all my units/towers. After that I sent in my ranged men to his base to wipe him out. Worked out very well.

Civ2, the amount of times I tried to expand my empire only to be pushed back by pikemen >:(, when tank age came out, I disbanded all units over time to upgrade to tanks, then it was tankwars MUhaHAHAh

Doom, best memory of that game was the mods, GAME OVER MAN lol, I loved the happy face mod, good for a laugh
