I don't like it when people consistently bring this up. It's not the same. The only things WoW was missing at launch was Battlegrounds and Hero Classes (HC's still missing in action). While they may have been missing, the massive amount of content that WAS in the game more than made up for the small bit that wasn't.
DnL's feature list is a bit more lopsided than that. It sounds like there will be quite a large chunk of content that won't find it's way in until later. It's not really a matter of "What features will this game be missing upon release?" but more of a "Will the features that ARE there make for an enjoyable game in the meantime?"

The only way this game will have a ice cubes chance in hell is if the Devs come to some sense and do the November release as a free open beta until they get at least the basic gameplay and devices in place. Considering they will not even consent to allow any of the game sites to do a "preview" of the game I doubt that will happen.
You know that as well as I do that this game is nowhere near ready for releasing for a fee of any sort and saying anything else is helping them with whatever you want to call selling a pack of promises which they cannot deliver on. I am not a beta tester and have not signed any NDA for NPCube, nor do I work for any other game comapny or any fan site for any MMORPG. However I have seen the game in the state it was a couple of weeks ago and I know for a fact that comparing it to Horizons or Saga of Ryzom at release is a huge compliment, Shadowbane and Mourning are probably much better examples. You are right though I do not have any idea what state the game is in today. They may have made more progress in the last three weeks than they did in the last year, somehow I doubt it though. If they have then either NPCube or some one needs to shut up trolls like me and release some solid recent info, screenshots, geta game site to do a preview or something. Because right now this game will not sell 1500 copies on the first day and unless major changes have been made before Nov 5th it won't sell any after that..

For your other question, how am i still hyped up after reading the beta leak? Well its simple, ive played many games that promised less than what DnL currently does and they didn't deliver much. I've played games driven by greedy corporations which normally seem to lack gamewise compared to smaller creative work environments. If you recall, EQ 1 is basically the foundation of what MMORPGs are today(compare to EQ2). Much like NPCube, the original EQ dev team assembled had allot of innovative ideas. These days the MMORPG market is flooded with cookie cutter pattern MMORPGs. I continuously see rip offs of EQ that introduce very few original features(if any). What DnL is proposing along with the attitude of the devs (from what ive read) they seem to be on the right path.
I will make my own decision but as of now, I remain fairly positive towards DnL. Im awaiting a few offical announcements to be made before they launch the game to confirm my download in Nov. Yes im grateful for beta testers insight into games/reviews on web sites etc etc but its not going to determine if i like a game or not. Some people consider WoW, Eq2 "Next Generation Games".. i see them as a step backwards... watered down trash.. but thats a whole another ramble...

Show me any evidence that any of the game sites have even seen the full game up and running. In case you have not noticed NPCube won't let any independent sites review it. As a matter of fact all they would show at E3 this year was some lame ass dragon flight and even that was bugged. No combat was shown, no crafting, no magic nothing. E3 was only 4 months ago and they did show even the most basic game play at the biggest damn game show in the world. Anyone with a lick of common sense has to wonder why.
Now back to my so called witnessing of the game. I agree i wish Np3 would post stuff to stop crap like this but they wont dont know why and for that fact dont care, but your asking question that are covered by a NDA so you wont get answers all i can say is stop posting about stuff you dont know about im fed up with this 20% of the total game bull shit and the paid for beta crap because you dont know mate.

Checks to see if he cares if Annubia is fed up...nope no concern here mate. You know maybe NPCube could start small, maybe just post a screen shot of the user interface...or maybe a video showing combat perhaps.
At PAX and E3 this year there were games that have not even started their beta testing yet and they were showing off demo builds of their games and I can think of one instance where they actually were letting the public play the demo versions.
Another game whose name I won't mention here showed a version of their combat at E3 and were flamed to high heaven over on their boards so at PAX they had toned down on the flying ninja kicks etc. That is the difference between professionals and a bunch of amateurs though I guess. Seems as if NPCube is still too ashamed of what they have made to let anyone even get a good look at it yet and it is only a bit more than a month to release.
Why won't NPCube show their game to the game sites, magazines etc? The answer is simple, they know once the truth is out no one is going to buy their POS.

What reviews? Show me any preview that consists of anything more than a few statement s that only say DnL is planning ______ . Show me any evidence that any of the game sites have even seen the full game up and running. In case you have not noticed NPCube won't let any independent sites review it. As a matter of fact all they would show at E3 this year was some lame ass dragon flight and even that was bugged. No combat was shown, no crafting, no magic nothing. E3 was only 4 months ago and they did show even the most basic game play at the biggest damn game show in the world. Anyone with a lick of common sense has to wonder why.
Now back to my so called witnessing of the game. Maybe I am just a lying sack of manure all I can say is prove me wrong bubba, see if your buddies over at NPCube will let MMORPG or Gamespot play the game and do a preview article or just drop the NDA and open up the beta forums to the public with read only access like WoW had. Then we will find out who is full of it me or you. It would be real easy to prove if I am lying and at the same time get a lot of positive publicity. On the other hand if the game is half as bad as I say it is they should keep the NDA down as tight as possible until Nov 5th so at least a few people will still buy it.
By the way it is not love for my fellow man that motivates me it is the fact my own conscious would bother me, so when it is all said and done it is still all about me my friend. I am sure you can understand that.
I agree i wish Np3 would post stuff to stop crap like this but they wont dont know why and for that fact dont care, but your asking question that are covered by a NDA so you wont get answers all i can say is stop posting about stuff you dont know about im fed up with this 20% of the total game bull shit and the paid for beta crap because you dont know mate.
You already said about the game proformance and your way off there as for bugs hey covered by the NDA. Trust me just wait you will get your answers.
Checks to see if he cares if Annubia is fed up...nope no concern here mate. You know maybe NPCube could start small, maybe just post a screen shot of the user interface...or maybe a video showing combat perhaps.
At PAX and E3 this year there were games that have not even started their beta testing yet and they were showing off demo builds of their games and I can think of one instance where they actually were letting the public play the demo versions.
Another game whose name I won't mention here showed a version of their combat at E3 and were flamed to high heaven over on their boards so at PAX they had toned down on the flying ninja kicks etc. That is the difference between professionals and a bunch of amateurs though I guess. Seems as if NPCube is still too ashamed of what they have made to let anyone even get a good look at it yet and it is only a bit more than a month to release.
Why won't NPCube show their game to the game sites, magazines etc? The answer is simple, they know once the truth is out no one is going to buy their POS.

Jackdog is over qualified to label DnL a POS for many reasons!
1. He has NEVER witnessed ingame footage, this automatically gives him knowledge beyond our wildest dreams. Hasnt even seen the UI, yes children you should definitely all base your opinions of DnL according to this valuable source of information named Jackdog!
2. Hes judging a game thats in its beta stages. The few screen shots he has seen are from beta. You go girlfriend!!!!

Hey Strouse, read two of my post and apply your "common sense" to wether i care about your opinion or not. Its rather obvious that i have judged this game by whatever info i have came across and determined that it has the possibility of entertaining me.
"Common Sense" would also suggest you live a pathetic life. Why you would bother visiting a games message board on a daily basis attempting to convince people that the game is awful is beyond me.

So Im asking you kindly, to please find a game you like and leave DnL alone, we don't need Superman to save us $50 bucks, if we like the game or hate it will be up to us to determine.
