First my rant against what went wrong with planetside, then bisquits and tea, then a little idea i had.

    (In order of importance)

1.Time- Game is pretty old, happens to the best of us.

2.Bad player feedback- Just because you can do what the plebs want...

3.Bad Execution based on Bad player feedback- It's not so much that the caves and the bfr's were bad, it is more like that they weren't that good. And just to let my inner deamons take over for a second...ahem...I COULD'VE @#$@% BETTER IDEAS OUT OF MY @#$%@ HOLE YOU #$%345 @#%!ERS!

    4.....I don't like the number 2+2

5.Low self-confidence- This will always be the best game ever for me. from May 2003 to August 2003 I did nothing but Sh!#, Eat, and play planetside. I played with a good friend of mine which is probably why I had so much fun. If only sony could've realised what they had...I'm not mad at sony...I pity them.

    Mark my words...

    Mark them I said.

    ...

    I dont hear you marking!!

The pc has become main steam, the first people to design a well conceived and thought out Massively Multiplayer Online First/Third Person Shooter, will trump the market and most likely become the third most feared movie enemy.

    1----Zombies (according to rescent movies)

    2----Machines

3----Evil conglomerate that eventually fools with powers it can't control (doom, resident evil, aliens)

    ThE eNd

That seems, remarkably enough, how it is with all mmorpg's...eventually.

People say that this was better before someone complained about something and they decided it needed to be changed. It really is a shame. Here's an Idea...

The preloader windows that pop up when you need to get updates/patches/etc.

Every time the devs want to make a questionable change, they can cast a vote. This does not mean that they shall go through with said change but I think it would give the devs alot more of what they want.

I dont think it would help much patch-wise mainly because every one has such different opinions. But there could've been a, All-in-favor-of-caverns-as-an-expansion-say-Aye! type of deal.

I really think FPS companys should start to hire FPS pros (ala Fatality *spelling*) and others like him that are professional gamers as consultants.. After all who would know more about what  make a good FPS then them.  PS did what they wanted to do in this game, the majority of players wanted more base designs, new  grunt weapons, outfit ownership, less camping. And we got new vehicles, new lattice system, Mechs, horrible rushed (by the lead mans own mouth) expansion, and health bonus's, and door camping...

While PS offers alot other FPS games do not like alittle more depth it is light years behind other FPS games of that time period. No other current FPS that I can think of distributed by a major game compay that came out around 03 has Game Coding as poor (Character warping even with the surge nerf), The Game Engine is outdated even for that time period, CSHD is horrible for a FPS since it can be manipulated by the CLIENT hence having a wide open back door for the hackers not to mention it is extremly unreliable and at times Inacurate. How many of you played this game and have been run over by a vehicle that was nowhere near you on your screen yet you die...Thats CSHD at its best or worse I should say.

The Devs do not react as fast as they should either to problems nor do they fix bugs like they should. The blackout bug has been here for 2 years as has the terminal bug  (which was supposed to be fixed going by the update in the last patch) it wasnt.  Hacking is always a problem in Online games and they have been slow to react here as well. Im not saying fixing these things are easy, as im sure its very complicated. But even acknowledging they exist is easy, and they are extremely slow in these area as well. Currently a major problem right now in PS is people with Dual Memory core having characters that more and do everything else faster then people with normal computers. Yet the Devs have yet to acknowledge our concerns about this. Bottom line is as in other games Planetside suffers from Poor Community Relations, look a "We are going to look into this" can go along way for most people. But instead of this most are angered by the fact that we (the paying customer) seem to be getting ignored. Im not saying they should responed to ever accusation but when serveral people complain about the same thing constantly there is probably something to that.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

What I want for them to do is to follow the storyline. The Vanu Sovereignty (sp?) should have maintained its vanu technology over others (ie. TR and NC should not also get flails and switchblades). I think giving the VS the sole ownership of the switchblade and flail - with the TR having decent tanks and great hand-held chainguns and the NC having great tanks - would have balanced the races a little more. That way the VS could be great at sieging outside of bases, the NC would be good on the field with their tanks and in real close quarters with their jackhammer guns, and the TR would have been more versatile - decent in the field and good in close quarters combat.

How many of you played this game and have been run over by a vehicle that was nowhere near you on your screen yet you die

Lol I have I believe, but what does CSHD stand for? ::ignores the google search bar::

I was aware of some bugs, but the problem I was mostly concerned with when I was playing was that which I've put forward in my post. It gave no real incentive for playing the VS except to glide on water with Magriders (thus sieging from the water where mostly fighters/bombers have to get to you), and to hover with their MAX suits (this came in handy in battles - just hover above nontracking missiles/gunfire while still shooting your target; it gives you the upperhand for a few seconds).

What killed the game was everybody getting higher rank and having their uber-toys.

OS's, main battle tanks, and BFR's all over the place.  Uber-toys.  Very borrying.

Would you think it be interesting to read about a battle between 90,000 Tiger tanks, and 200,000 Shermans?  No, of course not, because having only a couple weapon systems on the battlefield is borring and one dimensional.

The users themselves killed this game. Too many cooks in the kitchen (CR5s telling people to go every which way) led to a lot of people getting frustrated.
