October is coming, Rumors are spreading and something major for WoW is coming soon.
WoW isn't going to die anytime soon. and I think its going to get lot more better soon.

They show off the expasion for the first time @ Blizzcon in October.
They are showing it off in October, don't expect to see the expansion until summer 2006. This is Blizzard we're talking about here, since when have they ever released a game or expansion a few months after revealing it?

You are most certainly correct about Blizzard's release dates getting long in the tooth sometimes, but I have never been disappointed by the end product. They take their time but they do it right.
Just my random thoughts...

The game still will be pointless with the horrible BG's as a answer to PVP. Meanwhile COH and alot of other games will be comming out THIS YEAR not next and will offer PVP with a point behind it instead of a scoreboard.

Sad when a so called "carebear" game will have more meaningfull PVP (Base raids, RvR, Objectives and rewards, ect) behind it then WOW. Only reason why WOW is doing so good right now is because one its a decent game but more importantly what else is there to play right now? But come the end of this year and the beggining of the next things are going to change.
Sorry off the topic but I was really digusted by the direction blizzard took WOW.. It had all the potential in the world but thats all.. And I have a feeling this Expansion will be full of nerfs, bugs, and empty PVP additions just like the game itself was.
