is this mmo casual friendly?

Well i kind of retired as a hardcore gamer and am i casual gamer now. I have work school and afterschool activities and occasionally hang out with friends. Anyways i wanted to know if Everquest 2 is casual gamer friendly. I can probably play around 5 hours on weekdays (total not each day) and like 3-5 hours on a weekend (each day) is that enough to enjoy this game?

I have given up on these mmo's that are out and doubt i will shell out the cash to buy it but ill give the trial a try. Anyways i might just head back to lineage 1 as ive seen nothing to come close to its fun factor. Autoassault is close though but i just wanted to know if EQ2 is casual friendly thats all.

  •   Well if you asked the Eq Devs they would say it is. This means one of two things:

    1.They are lying.

    2. Hearts are in the right place, so either it is or will be in the near future.

I haven't played EQ2 since March, at that point in time, i got a sense they where attempting to balance the game with casual content (solo mobs, solo quest). Even the end game-raiding was very easy and seemed watered down/ casual.

Although I am not a big fan of WoW, if you haven't read anything about it yet, you may want to consider it for casual friendliness.

Well, I wouldn't fuss much with an mmo...you can give the trial versions a whirl if you want, but I don't think a casual gamer would want to pay a monthly fee. If you got an Xbox, you should get TES III: Morrowind (recommended) or Fable (optional).

Well i say its casual friendly but you'll probally find yourself soloing most the time because the community is empty and horrible! Noone ever talks to eachother like :S

The combat changes means u can level up alot faster than before too :) Plus double xp is ghreat for casual gamers! It lasts forever too!

But will you enjoy the game if you play that little? I did and i only ever played a few hours a week with guild mates

Jade Empire is pretty darned amazing, too, and I think it's selling for $19.99 now. It's a lot shorter than Morrowind (longer than Fable, though), but it certainly was one of the more memorable single-player RPGs I've played in recent years.
