Being up until now an avid PlanetSide player as it seems to be the only quality FPS game (all the others seem to be about magic, elves, orcs etc. which bores the hell out of me) I must admit that the bugginess of the game together with the growing army of cheats and the lack of anything new except for crappy medals for driving backward the fastest etc. has made me decide to give this game up as a lame duck. Sony are not a small company, so will not have the same budgetary constraints as the smaller players like CCP. Sony are happy to take £7 per month, give you a buggy interface, have possibly the worst TK scoring system even invented and turn a blind eye to the likes of speed hacks etc. They also employ a TOS (Terms of Service) which laudably lays down the rules for the game. Unfortunately, they do not apply the TOS across the board (one rule for everyone) but apply it just here and there, piecemeal.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
In the two years I have played the game they introduced the BFR which turned a quality game onto a MMORPG version of Mech Warrior. They have introduced a couple of new weapons but really nothing much has changed.
Us who prefer FPS to role playing desperately need a new quality FPS from one of the MMORPG players so we can finally bury the rotting corpse that is called PlanetSide. I do hope that it is not Sony who finally release this

That game doesn't seem remotely interesting to me.... not sure why. I was reading through their information they posted and you fight AI. Fighting AI seems LAME! I am also not a big "quest" fan with online games. I want to fight and battle and kill shyt. Here is the exact quote from Huxley's website.
III. ADVANCED A.I. AND QUESTS.
Huxley has advanced A.I. that rivals other online games. Enemies in Huxley demonstrate remarkable intelligence, which can be used to a players advantage or demise. Quests in Huxley will take players on paths of intrigue to uncover conspiracies resulting in confrontations. Each quest is continually updated so players feel as though they are enjoying a new story mode every time they play.
Also... NOT Bashing Huxley, just doesn't look good to me.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

If I want non-missioned gameplay, I'll play Quake 3 or CS. Fact is, the quest deliver the storyline a chunk at a time instead of just being in the manual as an afterthought. The only part of Huxley that pushes me away, although I'll still give it a shot, is that it's a static world. e.g. my actions will do nothing that other players don't already do.

I totally agree. It looks about as much fun as Tax Audit Online to me.
