    Kill humans you cant go wrong even if they dont drop anything theyl drop some money and maybe some cloth. Thats how i got my money for a little while.

    Get to a max lvl in one of these proffesions: Alchemy, herbalism or Enchanting.
    The pots a Alchemist makes are very needed in the endgame. Herbalism is big money too. If you find the Black Lotus you can sell it for 150 g on the AH. Enchanting is quite good.

    Enchanting is very expensive to level if you buy the mats from AH.  I wouldn't suggest to start enchanting if you are only level 1...Start at a higher level because you sure need to invest quite a lot of money to level up your enchanting and the patterns you buy from AH... Besides, there are so many enchanters out there I see the enchanting prices are getting lower and lower.  I'd say not a lot of profit.  I am an enchanter myself.  The ones that you do get profit are the rare and harder ones to get like +22 int, +15 agil, +30 spell power...etc.  The average enchanter will not have these anyways.  Really, a farming profession would help you get money fast...herbalism is the most profitable and easy.  And yes potions are needed for end game dungeons.  My guild requires people to bring healing/mana potions for MC for full dkp points.  For monster drops, Winterspring, Plaguelands, Felwood, and Silithus are all pretty good.  You can go to northwest of Silithus to farm for essence of air which can be sold for 20g on AH for my server.  Also, you can try to buy stuff cheap from AH and resell for a higher price.

    Mining + kill humanoids for cloth's. and then make 10 gold at the AH and then spend it all on beer! hooray beer!

    Also I find stratholme run quite profitable...especially the scarlet side.  I don't know if I am lucky or what but every time I do scarlet, at least 5 righteous orbs drop for us and I always happen to win one of them.  LOL

    When you do baron run, you will usually get some BOE drops, runecloth, and essence of death.  Besides it is a very quick run.
