Will there ever be a mmorpg which is Mod friendly, (i know wow  is Gui mod friendly) but i mean full on quest development, model replacement etc.

Yeah... I think R2 is the closest thing to MMORPG Modding.

personally i dont like mods that much. if im thinking of wat your talking about. it splits up games and many people go different ways. GUI mod is cool and addind weapons and stuff is a good idea too, as long as you can still play with all the people you played with before. but changing the game so that you can only play with people with the same version i dont like. IMO it takes away from the whole originality.

Unfortunately, you have no idea what he's talking about.

Yup R2 or Ryzom Ring as its otherwise called looks a very powerful tool.

Can make your own lands and set up scenarios, for example an invasion of mobs and the players have to hold them off or kill the boss etc. You can set up NPCs with chat, set their race/weps/clothes, manually take control of creatures while the scenario is running as a DM.

    Can't wait ;)

I doubt you can do that, you can make lands but making scenarios is a bit overwhelming esp. with the case of abusive behaviors.

And what makes you think that the battlegrounds won't go unbalanced to create montsters with 1 hp as farming grounds, does it go throug play testing from the company that published it?  I'm just say it adds a deimnsion of abuse if it's not supervised.

Ryzom's system already fixes that. The level of the mob determines the level of the drop. The drop is a craftable item only and the Quality of the drop is determined by the level of the mob.

So a 1hp mob (which there are none in the game) can't be programmed to drop a Quality 200+ item.
And they have already made critters you put into the scenerio. It's kinda neat actually.

Also they wont allow xp or raw materials to be gained from such scenarioes to begin with. Nevrax seems to be taking logical steps to ensure exploitation cannot happen.

I suspect if they ever did allow such things to be introduced they would supervise it to make sure it wasnt any easier than the main game world.
