Another PvP thread, regarding loot drops if any?

Simple question when you make a kill during PvP what do you get? Do they drop any of thier stuff, money? Armor? do you get skill?
I'm thinking about getting this game but I want real PvP...

DAOC isnt a Free for All pvp game. It doesnt have corpse looting. Curious-are you the kind of player that likes Rogues/stealther types?
When you kill someone you get a specific kind of experience that lets you buy a variety of skills that can make you better in pvp or pve. You also get a rank and money. At no time however will someones armor drop off.
DAOC's pvp is my favorite by far. Its very strategic in how you play your class and its blast fighting in group vs group situations and 1v1. There is keep defense and keep taking...a keep being a castle. You can pvp in the battlegrounds from lvl 1 to lvl 45. The battlegrounds are based on level to make it fair although a charachter 4 lvls higher than you will normally pwn you.

Have you read anything about darkfall online? Its not anywhere near to being out but its ffa pvp and full corpse looting.
Just to touch up on some things you have specific battlegrounds for certain levels like levels 1-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, and finally 40-44. After than you go to the New Frontiers, which is the big RvR and usually level 50's battle it out for the keeps. Also in RvR you get realm points when you kill a player from an enemy realm, and after a certain number of realm points you get realm ranks. You start off at 1L1 but you progress to 1L2 then you keep going to 1L9 then you hit 2L0 and that keeps going until you get to 12L0 (L stands for level) with each level you get realm skill points, and if you have a certain number of skill points you can upgrade your stats or get new abilities. Also once you hit 2L0 you get +1 to all skills each time you get a new level. The only loot that you get in RvR is money (copper, silver, gold, platinum). RvR is the PvP, but even if you are in RvR there are still regular mobs that you can kill for items that you can sell or keep if you want. Also when you kill another player you get exp. Thats all I can think of for now, ask if you have anymore questions.
You get gold when you kill someone in PvP.
But unless your playing on Mordred you dont loose anything other than pride when you are killed.
You laso get experience to level with and realm points which then can be used to buy skills improve stats.
There is a maxim level at which you stop getting skills, 23 million realm points. If you played about 4-5 hours a day youo would probably get about 5K rps a nigth on average. So to max out it would probably take you abour 12 years. So you really need to be a hard core gamer. Right now theres only one person to have reached that. So you could be the next one :-)
Theres lots of ways to play RvR dependign on your style as metioned earlier.
Your equipment also has a HUGE impact on how you perform in PvP. That being said you should know, that it takes several weeks to get all the stuff for a perfect PvP equipment.
Now imagine you run out into the frontier zones, get ganked by a fg and there you are...naked and off for another 3 weeks of boring pvm grind ^^
Thus, corpse looting simply does not fit into the whole daoc system. But, as mentioned above, you get rewarded with so called realm points that will allow you to buy special abilities for PvP, gold and also xp .
