I'm still a resto druid.  But I really like hurricane and insect swarm.  i always said druids needed a halfway decent aoe spell and another dot spell with a 2% decrease in chance to hit is sweet.  now if they would only let us use wands i would be as happy as can be.

The revamp for the Druid in the new patch is great.  Especially since my Druid is balance speciallist.  Moonkin form rocks!

Just one question though, why in Azeroth's name would you want to use a wand?  Yuck!  Leave that mess the the pure casters.  That is the biggest problem with the druid is that everyone wants a restoration druid, in which case you might as well have gone priest.  Allowing Druids to use wands would only perpetuate this stereotype.  I would much rather either: A) allow druids to use shields, so as to up armor in bearform, or B) allow druids to use pole arms, just cause they're cool as hell.  I speced both ways and what I came to realize is that  aside from Invenerate (which is definitely kick ass!), a balance Druid can heal almost as well as a Restoration Druid, so I'd much rather put my points into the Balance tree.  Especially now that they have that cool ass Moonkin form; finally a end tree that is as good as invenerate!  Feral speced still sucks though.  Blizzard really should give that another look; I mean the whole thing about Druids is that they are can change form and take on other roles, but the Feral spec tree is still lacking in my opinion.

Not telling you that you should respec or anything man, just stating my opinion as I see it.  If you haven't respeced much and have the money, I highly recommend you respec to Balance and troll around for a day before you go back to Restoration just to check out the Moonkin.  It's just too cool not to try.

Just one more little comment from me about the much needed revamp of the Druid.  I really really wish Blizzard had brought the cool down on the Combat Res down.  Half an hour is just too short to really be effective in most high level instances.  The whole idea behind it is to prevent a wipe, but much too, as a Druid, you find yourself in a raid with maybe one other Druid so you can do it once or twice depending on how many in a half hour period.  Usually resing one character in the midst of battle isn't going to do the trick when your talking about a raid of 40.  It was great in instances where you could five man, but come on!  Bottom line Combat res should be brought down to 15min - 20 min cooldown time tops.

I'm pleased with the new patch. Still Resto druid. But I'm thinking about balance because the Moonkin looks so great, sadly restoration druid is still the best for the end game instances. Innervate is a life safer in big boss battles. Anyone know what the healing loss is if you respec to Balance? Saying that feral still sucks isn't correct. Currently the official wow forums are flooded with rogues whining about feral druids doing to much damage.

I'm currently questing in Silithus. Most of the quest so far are targeted on 55+ I think. Atleast there haven't been any real good rewards for me as a lvl 60, but I guess it will change ones I get further into the quests chains.

Haven't tried the 4 dragons yet and most likely will never ::::05:: I'm on a server with some of the best players in the world. There is no way my guild is going to get a chance at getting those dragons. But I'm really insterested in the lore of them. Since they are from the Emerald Dream. As far as I know when you kill one of them you can start a quest that let's you meet Malfurion Stormrage ::::20::

i think the patch was great. Not much for the content (that is good) but for the fact that *gasp* it wasn't done in 3 months!

It was actually pretty fast from 1.7! Granted, there was no new instance/dungeon added, so that might say why it was so fast...

As for druids, i like the work they did with the talents, but the balance tree is still a bit.... without reason?

I understand the moonkin form is nice, but... Druid as a Nuker is not even mentioned in the official druid pages... we have a whoopy 3 offensive spells plus the new Hurricane AoE, they are inferior compared to mage. Yes, we have leather and the moonkin form makes balance specced druids some kind of super armored caster... but what is really asked by a nuker? to nuke! and in that respect the talents didn't do much cause our base spells simply don't cut it.

Not that i am bad with it as a Druid can already easily fill in three roles, but still i wonder the whole point of druid as a nuker.

So, all in all, their work on the talents is outstanding and i have no real suggestions to "fix" druid as a nuker so i will just leave it at that.

Blizzard opened an entire zone, Silithus, which contains a whole set of new quests.

I am a resto druid because my guild runs high end raids and we need the healing.  I didn't take innervate for myself, that is reserved for the priests in the group.  That's why I want a wand because I get low on mana sometimes and if I can wand the target I can get some damage on the target & get some of my mana back.  Perhaps wands could be in the resto tree?  Hrrm donno.  Just my thoughts.  Maybe I am just over healing.

Not entirely true. The zone was there from before. There where some quests there too. They added a new "town" and alot of quests.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith
