How do things begin? How does anything begin – with chaos and confusion. As a newborn child enters this world, weak, frightened and fragile, as a surge of earth blood bubbling up through the great subterranean arteries that snake up from the superheated innards of the world or as a still sheet of snow – like dead water, still now, and then jumped up and carried down to uproot whatever may lay in its path. Or like the creation of a universe – empty and then in the infinitesimal divisions of a second, everything is.
