What MMORPG should I go to next?

PyscoJuggaloPyscoJuggalo Member UncommonPosts: 1,114

Played EQ, hated the game.

Played SWG it is crappy and posting on their forums is better than playing.

What MMORPG should I play next? NOTE: FFXI is not an option because I got sick of the series in part 7.

You sound like you hate most games so not going to recommend since you only listed games you hate  and not 1 single one you like or style of play you enjoy.

If you gone thru an array of mmorpg and "hated" them all you will find it very hard to get one you like.

But we have had votes on forum and 2 games always fight for title of best mmorpg ever - EQ and DAoC.

But you already said you hated one of those hehe.

So a quick list of what you want from a mmorpg would help make people give you a choice based on that.

I would suggest DAoC, mainly becauce of its new expansion

ToA, that adds a shit load of stuff, and it is redoing the RvR system

Well..are you looking to go to a "new" game, if yes then I would say Horizons since its the next good game coming out...if you are looking to go to an older game then I have to agree with others that DAoC would be a good choice.

I found Daoc to be very similar to EQ. Everyones a cookie cutter character, everyone must follow set paths for their classes (otehrwise be gimps). I also hate running all the way to town to a god damn trainer when i lvl just to raise some skills.

Since alot of the ones coming out seem to be alot like DAoC and EQ in some respects (at least the fantasy based ones) I'd suggest World of Warcraft or Ultima X right now.

Good points I should probly explain myself.

I hated EQ because I what something where everybody did the same dam things.

-Camp Lego belts/pads, hunt in that kobold area in the frost area

-Then the Mid-higher level content you needed to group 24/7 and I play odd hours

SWG I hated because the game was souless.

-Main StarWars Char NPC's were statues

    -Professions are broke

-Forced to have a pet because even if you do get a group, group XP is worthless

I'm looking for a MMO I can Solo sometimes but if I decide to group it's worth grouping.

I'm looking for a MMO where you can do 100's of diffrent things at all levels

I'm looking for a MMO where the classes/races all have a value and one is not the best.

I'm looking for a game with quests that are actually quests and not relay races.

Also a strong PVP enviroment would be nice, but not where its just a FPS

----Sorry for ranting sorta, just had two very bad experiences

    Thanks for yer help

Sounds like you might enjoy DAoC.  I think the classes / races are balanced nicely.  I found the quests to be enjoyable and it has a nice RvR system.  Or you could always wait for one of the new MMORPGs.
