Unofficial Boards down?

Seems I haven't been able to get to the unofficial boards (although, the most official since MJ posts there) for the past few days.  Was wondering if they were down for anyone else.  www.warhammeronlineforum.com .  Sucks because the meaty October update should be coming in the next 2 weeks.

On a side note, if done right, I can see this game topping the MMORPG list, especially with an intricate RvR system and expansions to include more than just Dark Elves, Empire, High Elves, Chaos and Greenies.  We want Khemri, Counts and Wood Elves :-D

So none of you frequent the unofficials?  I've been goin crazy with it being down, especially since the October update is coming soon...

I have contacted Mythic PR and asked (well begged) that Mark Jacobs not stop his monthly de-briefings due to WHOF being gone. Hopefully we can keep those alive and going, although Septembers was a bit of a let down.

    Hi there,

The unofficial warhammer online forums can now be found at www.warhammeralliance.net.

I'm not sure why the site went down, but it seems they won't be coming back up any time soon. Luckily, we had a prototype site being developed for a planned upgrade to the site which will serve us much better for the future. The community has taken a bit of a knock, but is in the process of migrating over to its new home. We've faced worse before...

Hope to see you there soon.

    Delado set this site up?

It seems to me that if he did, then it would be just as easy (since the hosting and the url are still good for the old website) to set up a redirect or jsut a small html message to that effect.

De'Lado didn't set the site up personally, but it had his blessing. It was never our intention to move to the new site though, however, events have conspired to make it neccessary. De'Lado is currently out of contact with the UWOF admins, so there is little we can do regarding any kind of remediatory action we can take using the old hosting and url since he was the sole owner.

Be assured that as far as we're concerned, the ideal scenario would involve the return of De'Lado and the UWOF. We are only trying to minimise the damage and keep the well established community together.

oh so you are saying that it is the old WHOF to try to get people to come there even though it isn't?

All those links are dead now.

This is another one of the reasons Mythic needs their own official forum site.

There are plenty of good fansites for WAR, and most of them work with each other, By the way, the link posted above for Warhammer Alliiance is incorrect. It is www.warhammeralliance.com (not .net).

That's not what he meant. He's saying that the forum they are talking about isn't THE unofficial forum since they are all unofficials. So the title ''unofficial boards down'' is like saying that they are all down. That's what he meant.
