Loot Code?

SquadBoxSquadBox Member Posts: 8

Since this game focuses on PvP for most of it's combat, I was wondering if players can loot the gear of their victims and to what extent?

Is only the person who gets the "kill shot" able to loot the player's corpse or is the body a free-for-all to anyone able to get to it?  How much of that player's gear can be taken?  Can it be stripped of everything or can only the coin and 1 or 2 items be taken?

Actually you don't have boss camping, instances here you know. Only thing you can loot is NPCs from opposing faction and animals who'll have to be skinned or stuff similar to that. And NPCs won't be found every second. So you don't have to worry about looting.

Well if all the armor and weapons dont cost so much, then it wouldnt matter if you lose them as much. just dont carry all your denarii with ya hah. and if your body has nothing on it you prob will just spawn in the nearest town or somthing, with no need to go get your body. Should be fun fighting in a battle with 2000 or so soldiers thoimage

Does that mean there is a secure NPC banking system to store my denarii instead of carrying it all or will I just have to hope no one breaks into my home(if I can afford one with all the complete free-for-all looting)?

I think there will be safe places to store your money but you will limited where you can put in and take out

You'll be able to store your stuff in your home (house). If you don't have it, tough luck :)

If you are killed by an NPC, you can't be looted.  If you are killed by a player then everything can be looted.  You can find this in the FAQ.  I don't know how this applies to NPC's.  Not sure about the bank but, I think there will be something.

um... while there was some form of banking back in the day, it was not a common thing and was only for emperors and the elite.

so no there will be no banking system. If you amass a lot of loot you better have a nice villa and a lot of guards to go along with it.

*Waits for someone to ask the question, "Wait, does this mean that someone can kill you for the money you just bought from RB?!"*

Well, we don't really know yet. I don't think RB will be that mean, but after all. . . ::::19::

um.... yeah... of course you could lose said money..

It would BEHOOVE you to be in a secure area when you buy the money and transfer it ingame...

The whole idea is to make the land scary and dangerous. You will have little to fear while in town, but once you make your way outside things get risky. It helps keep the role of groups and such strong and encourages grouping. It also keeps you on your toes with who you can or can not trust. I think it is going to be fun ::::01::.

Actually I recently posted in the RV official forum, which got a response from the lead dev, in this thread: http://www.roma-victor.com/community/bb/viewtopic.php?t=6572 .  The bottom line is that while there may be banks or whatnot to deposit your money and stuff in, or the ability to store it in your house, you will not be able to "transfer" it to a different location.

That's right.  You must physically transport your money and items if you want them to move to a different location!  This will open up the professions of Trader and Plunderer, and of course every other profession that goes with them (Guard, Police, etc.).  AWESOME JOB RB!
