in Final Fantasy XI

How do I get rid of the stupid background music? I can't get the config to work. Can someone explain why, when I set it to no music nothing happens?

    I am sorry. I am talking about the FFXI ingame music. I have enabled my FFX config to allow for music and sound effect changes. When I go in game into "Gameplay" then into the sound options it will not let me adjust the music volume.

    I think the config controls are not working. There were several people in chat complaining about the ingame config controls.

    Just change it from out of game, then. The config is in your start menu.
