Sorry I didn't catch this thread earlier, but that would rock. I think it would draw in a greater number of people who aren't subscribed to the game which would keep things busy across the continents and keep action easy to find. Then it might encourage those not subscribed to sign up if all goes well and the action is constant. I say to the devs of PlanetSide, do not make new servers if you get more people. More people means more action even if there is more lag. Do not get more servers; just better ones if that's at all possible.

Planetside has granted me some of the most memorable moments in all FPS games I've ever played. I had to quit because there weren't enough other players to shoot.
If it's free, I'll be back. Nothing else need be required.
What is a BFR and all those other abbreviations you guys throw around?
BFR: Battle Frame Robotics when referring to the general certification field. I use BFR to refer to the actual robot that you pilot/gun too (Battle Field Robot I call it actually). Very deadly to newbies, but deathtraps against an enemy who knows what they're doing.
Other than that, I can't help you unless you give me some other abbreviations.

SOE admitting they are retarded would be a good start to get players back.
Lol. In this case I either wish they 1. go ahead with the limited free accounts or 2. lower the subscription to $5 or 3. get some serious content into the game without screwing it over. At the moment I'm at a lack of ideas for content, so I'd prefer option 1 or 2. I understand that you need a steady flow of cash to keep things running, but if you up it for content, then you better offer some good content. Otherwise just charge for a skeleton crew and for maintenance.
At any rate, all that would have to happen to get me back to playing PS at the moment is for me to get an internet connection at a reasonable price. Where I live at the moment I can't get a linked connection like cable; I have to go for satelite. The lowest connection that I can get at the moment starts at $500 for installation and $60 a month...
