I was wondering about the skill points, and how many exactly you will be able to accumulate? Will there be enough to get all the skill attributes up or should I just concentrate on getting certain ones higher?

you can't get every attribute higher. The higher you bring an attribute the more skillpoints it takes to increase it yet again.

You should go to one of the game's fansite forums such as Guildwars vault and there will be people who can answer very specifically to which skills are better to raise, etc.

It's called attribute points, skill points are used when buying skills

Another thing at the bottom of the skill usually says what attribute it effects.
