Use CoV beta client to play the live release?

So, here I am, CoV box in-hand, ready to play, and my CD-ROM has crapped out on me. Can I get my CoV beta client to run CoV live -- and how do I do that?

    You will have to update your PlayNC CoH account from the beta to live. Just go the CoH site. click on PlayNC and then go to your account. After clicking there, update your account and enter the code from your CD. No need to load it from the CD

    And then the active game servers will appear when I load up CoV? Right now it only shows the training rooms...

    No, launch City of Heroes, not the test. When you launch CoH, you'll go to any server and you'll see you'll have 12 character slots instead of 8. When you create a character, you'll see that you can choose between making a hero or villian. You can even play on a server that is your usual stomping grounds and play against/with friends.image

    Right.. it plays through CoH if you had CoH to begin with. Just a big patch first and BOOM.

    Agreed, just launch your (live) CoH client if you already have it. 

    For the record i6 is CoV, so if you have kept CoH up-to-date upgrading your CoH account will simply unlock the means to create a villains.
