Looking For A New MMORPG

Like a lot of others I just left SWG, I don't want to bash SOE too much, but the constant changes to the game are making it more and more unenjoyable. I'm looking for something along the same lines as SWG, not so much in genre, but in depth and diversity. I liked the ability to pick and choose many different professions along with an intricate crafting system. I enjoyed having the different player cities and expansive areas to explore.

I've been playing different 2 week trials i.e. UO, Anarchy Online, and Eve Online, but haven't really met anyone ingame to get a good feel for it. The last thing I'm looking for is a game that attracts a more mature audiance, and has a stable track record of developement cycles, not the hit or miss trends that SOE tends to be following. I'd appreciate any helpful info anyone can share.

    You can give EQ2 Trial of the Isle a go, from what ive heard the last major updates and expansions SOE has done for EQ2 have been very good. City of Heroes may also be a good choice, if you like fighting... there isnt really much to do other than fight but its fun for awhile.

    Buddy, youve only been here for a few weeks. Anyways, if you dont like it, ignore it. Otherwise, shutup if you have nothign to contribute.

    /sigh...

    I asked for specific things regarding MMO's, so if I can't post them here then what or where would you suggest? Of course I'd expect that kind of response from a teenager. Mabey if I whined a bit more I'd get more of a favorable reply.

    You're not the nly one looking for another MMORPG like it. I left right after the CU and have been looking ever since.

    Ryzom, EQ2 or EVE.
    Those are some pretty nice games if you played SWG

    Or you could give the free 6 month trial of Dark and Light a try, it's called Settlers of Ganareth and is being released some time this month. Oh did i mention it's FREE?
