Is it worth paying for Final Fantasy

Hello

I'm big fan of the game. But that's was on the Playstation.
But then agein, it is Final Fantasy so i tought i would ask you guy's.
So what's the recent for play/not play the game, I need some fac's about the game.

Not worth paying for in my opinion. In fact, this is my last month of playing FFXI (and I'm not actually playing anymore, just auctioning off my crap so I can give the money to my friends.)

Sure, Square Enix keeps piling on the content (mostly for the players who have many levels under their belt) but they aren't doing anything to fix the big problems that have been on the players minds since shortly after the NA release. Ironically, and sadly, many players are far to addicted to FFXI to give it up for something different that could provide them with a better gaming experience.

Fac- FFXI requires alot of your time if you want to progress. This game relies heavily on equipment, so naturally you want the best. But the best equipment can be very expensive (sometimes in the millions range). And to pay for this very expensive equipment you need farm (which is time consuming) or craft (crafting can be very expensive just to get started). Dont get me wrong, this game can be very fun. Just try not to turn into a chore.

Then the question is, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Some players love to have a long lasting game, and some don't.
I would be delayed if you cut give me some more fac about the game,
something about Quest, weapons, clan/Guild, and the characters.

Okay, but when the game was to the console, where you in love with it there?
