There's an advertisement that sometimes appears on this site for a Supreme Destiny Competition (Note: I'm NOT complaining about the ad itself), the following is a quote from their competition site:
Requisites for victory:
Players will be competing against each other to reach their maximum possible character level during the span of six (6) weeks. They will have access to every feature currently available in our live servers including the IPG (Internet Payment Gateway) that allows players to further enhance their characters virtually.
If THIS is the future of MMORPGs I'm leaving right NOW...I mean a "race" to max possible char level which allows players to purchase virtual enhancements to their characters (read...selling ingame items for realworld cash)...ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!
Stop this travesty of the genre, give me storylines or give me death!
