With numerous updates exceling the full potential of EQ2, this MMO is trully making its way up into the big leagues. "My little shelf-game is growing up!"
On a seperate note, with updates added such as coin drop from ABLE monsters (*cough* 22 copper from a chicken in WoW anyone?), XP debt removal from groups, more raid locations, and more UI changes you can point a moss snake at, EQ2 really does prove to be an excelent example for a comeback from a major title.
Slow and steady wins the race, and as EQ2 had a hard time at the start, its now reaping all the benefits!
GAME ON!

EQ= not good.
EQ2= Slightly less not good.
I don't like EQ.

No Userbar here, sorry to disappoint.
EQ2 probably could have been a contender in the next gen MMO market. If SOE had focused on gameplay and fun facter, over graphics. They might have actually had a worthy competitor, as well as a worthy sequel. To what most would consider the hand (EQ1) that pushed the MMO market into the lime light.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
EQ2 = Empty promises from SOE
Also zoning sucks

Don't click here...no2
Only humanoids drop copper/silver/gold in WoW. I know you're biased, but lets not pull facts out of our behinds.
That said I do currently play EQ2, and like it because it's more challenging than most other MMORPGs.

I was thinking of getting EQ 2 during my time saving up from a complete system overhaul.i played EQ from april of 99 till about jan 2004 and dont regret a minute of time i invested into hardcore raiding and grinding.After the station exchange annoucement i lost all faith in soe and hope one day sony just sells the division to EA or some shit.Any time there profit margine slips SOE pulls some money grab out there ass to keep the bottom line and i guess the bonuses in check.i fulley expect them to start selling there own in-game items bye late 2006 or offer some special account were you get x# of more coin per loot or something in those lines.
Someone needs to shoot this horse so money thats still being made from EQ goes were it should.maybe the EQ servers wouldnt have bean raped so hard bye wow if they would have done a "complete" overhaul of the graphics engine.

My *only* complaint about EQ2 is the zoning. They really should have made it a seamless world. At least in the outdoor zones. I could forgive zoning into towns and dungeons but I will never understand why they went with zones in the 'world'.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Still in: A couple Betas
If SOE releases PvP servers, count on the subscriptions to go way the hella up. The game it self is fine, there's just a decent segment of the mmo community that wants PvP.
And like El mentions, SOE needs to something about all the zoning. Not a game breaker by any means, just more of a nuisance.

Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.
SoE=Meh
I was looking for the this Poll option:
I came back after a year, played it for 2 months and then quit again...yawn.
Great PvE game, I'm just tired of PvE only games I guess.
Joined 2004 - I can't believe I've been a MMORPG.com member for 20 years! Get off my lawn!
Played it on release and been back twice but still doesn't hold my interest.
One of the main problems I found going back at a low level is it was very hard to get a group together due to low server population, even at peak times. As I find it pointless playing solo in an mmo game I got bored very quickly.
