Flyff, the ignorance burns me.

Ugh, if you ever want to see a great game ruined by an underfuned company of seemingly 1 person who is the ONLY GM, wont hire anyone who doesnt live in the same town as him, come to Flyff. Chris never fixes anything, EXP rates are rediculously low taking a week just to get out of vagrant (noob class) mode. But dont get me wrong, Chriss is active....ly spamming the damn channel all the time calling it his "radio station"

The community is twice as worse, everyones about 10 years old and will agree with the mods say until the day they die.. To quote chriss "Theres hackers in the game, and im not banning them. They'll just make new accounts. Dont pay attention to hackers, you cant get rid of them so like them" Thats what he tells everyone ingame about the hackers. And ofcourse if you happen to disagree with Chris or suggest him to do something accutally in his job description, the entire community flames you and puts you down...

Tell me when to play carebear for this game..
it's pointless hack & slash korean style game with the only cool thing that you can fly..
I tried this game and i got out of vagrant mode in less than a week dude.
But for some reason i thought the class change didn't do much..
content & gameplay is very low and the graphics are average..

i don't recommend this game at all to anyone!

We shall all die in vain.. you decide how!

  • fulmanfufulmanfu Member Posts: 1,523

yeah if your going to have a game with such limited content (pretty much 1 place to lvl at each lvl, camped so bad you have to jump as soon as they spawn or your s.o.l.) the least you can do is keep the community good.

having a GM whos friends w/ cheats get to lvl 100 the first week, and pretty much saying go ahead do what you want is not the best way to get good community.

This game is not really worth playing.

The main gimmick is definately the flying, which can be entertaining a little, but at the same time its really the only fun part of the game.

    The skill system is laughable.

The game itself is all about attacking the correct mob for your level.

Not worth the time in general.

I for one enjoy the game.  There is no ksing can't happen in this game and no pking.  While there is pvp its in only a couple of areas and no pking!!    I realize I may be in the minority and thats fine, but too manyy good games have been ruined for me by ksing, pking and hacking.  While  you can say what ya want to about Chris the GM, he has worked his tail off to get the game up and running.  Btw....ppl of all ages play this game .  It is very nice to see a change fron hack and slash!
  • fulmanfufulmanfu Member Posts: 1,523

a change from hack and slash?

you do know what that means?

please tell me how this isnt a hack and slash game, there is nothing else to do, no alternate professions, no housing, no crafting, no side games, no polotics, no territory control....
just(you guessed it) hack and slash and town littered with player shops which huge bubbles you cant get rid of.

I disagree with the first dude strongly, 1st. If you cant get passed Vagrant your to noob to be playing the game in the first place. (im lvl 27 as of 4 days) 2nd. You need to party if you want to lvl faster. 3rd. This game is unique in the fact (you can fly, Skills system is easier, Stat system is reduced to 4 differant selections ((str, sta, dex, int)) huge environment) and chris is only doing his job, he is just a gm he reports problems, he doesnt do anything to improve the game, thats up to the company to fix it he just moniters everyone, as for him spamming up the boards i agree he talks to much but little of it is senseless.  I Would like them to hurry up the updates lol, because YOU ARE BECOME STRONGER, YOU ARE BECOME FASTER, there are little mistakes that could be fixed but havent been fixed ever since first beta, that is my opinion and good luck with the arguement.

Lol, I like to kill people.

Aside from crafting, aren't most MMORPGs like this?

Anarchy Online has flying, stat system where used even in Ragnarok Online (D&D was using stats even), environments are smaller then in Guild Wars. So what is unique?

The GM isnt doing his job if he isnt improving the game, improving means also to actually solve problems. (Not game code but harassment & such, saying "ignore the hackers" is just stupid. That means even more people will cheat since the GM doesnt care).
Also is there only one GM? Thats great, mmorpg:s are notorious for not needing ingame support...

As always the player shops with bubbles above them is (usually) the trademark of a crappy mmorpg. The xp grind is horrendous, just becuase you can get to level 27 in 4 days only means you play ALOT more not that the grind is low(er).

Well I saw alot of sentences like this in Flyff...

I too like the game, and I'm not 10 years old.  image

There are both ups and downs about the game though. But I like it and are willing to see what will happen to the game. I've played other games before, and want to say that this game has great potential. A few things needs to be fixed, and other things are just great the way they are! image

Yeah.. the game is nice... in the sense that Runescape was nice (for the first hour)

The game is overall... boring. there is nothing to do but hack, slash, and fly. Nothing special. The e-games free games are 100x better, and theyre still crap.

This game just seems like another small low budget game that probably won't be around for very long. Yes, I'm playing it right now but only to kill time until I can find a game that I find worth paying for (played FFXI, EQ2, L2, WoW, GW).

The game GM Chris likes to use server messages as his personal chat sometimes, which is highly unprofessional in my opinion. The gameplay is alright, just a simple grind that I expected since this is another Korean MMOG. The quests are rather dull, but then again quests in any MMOG have usually bored me except for FFXI rank missions. The translations are also poorly done, I've seen fobs here in Cali write better than what the NPCs say. The community is somewhat friendly, but only if you can manage to find english speaking ppl. Free games tend to draw quite an international audience which can be both good and bad depending on how you look at it.

Overall, it's a free game so I see no reason to really complain. It's fun if youre looking for a light and casual game to play, but if you're interested in content I wouldn't suggest it at all.

Took my a couple of hours to get to lvl 20. ^^

Horrible MMORPG though, the PvP is rather worthless and it's all grind.

Chris is a complete tool, I found out how to get the lil blue titles, sad that this is something to work for, on my name by dueling and I went down to the arena. Well guess who stopped by, yep pocahontas himself...he then proceded to summon a ton of mobs in the arena and no dueling could take place. When I politely asked him to stop so some of us could duel he said in the shout channel "Sorry guys somone is being a **** and wants me to stop." I don't remember what he said cause its not important but he stopped. For about 2 minutes then started again. This guy personally is ruining the game for me. As for the lvl grind its boring as hell in or out of groups. Flying is kinda cool but the combat in air is boring also.

This game gets couple thumbs down from me.

Oh well back to squishing peoples in rakion.

I also gave this game a shot once.

It seemed like a nice game at first glance, but when I actully got in if realized how horribly wrong I've been.

First of all: The Tutorial. It sucked. I had to figure everything out by my self, since I couldn't find help ANYWHERE. Not from the game, not from some manual, not from the site, not from the players and not even from the so called GM. If I would want some mindboggeling thing to do, I would play Puzzle Pirates. Atleast that game give you instruction how to play the puzzles.

Next up: Gameplay. Here comes strike 2. The leveling is not only boring, but it's not rewarding either! When I realized what I need to do to even get a new class, I unistalled that game so fast you wouldn't even have the time to say "Flyff". The quests is pure crap too. Sure, they look like most quest do in MMORPGs; Kills x amount of z creature, or return x amount of y item; but in no way do you ever feel like you WANT to help the NPC. You just do it because it gives the mindless hacking on monsters some purpose. The Skill system is a laugh, as are the stat system. The only that might be remotly fun is flying around, but I'm sure I would get bored of that after 10 minutes (no, I didn't even bother to play this game that long to check it).

And Last up: Community and GMs. As stated; I didn't get any help at all from either GM or players. And no, it wasn't the "No reply" I got from the GM either. I got a "Sorry, can't help you"-reply. What you mean you can't help me?! YOUR GM! IT'S YOUR JOB! Strike 3, and this game is out.

In conclusion: I would be suprised if this game ever reched commersial status, and if it did, I wouldn't even recomend it to my worst enemy.

My earlier examination of the EXP rate after playing the day after server launch left a wrong impression, the mobs were over-ran and it was extremly difficult to level up.

Everyone is correct in some way, this game in bland, has no customer service/Support GMs (Just an asshole of an owner). They never update the website, you never know whats going on. There arent any events. The mods on the forums think there deciples and you must follow theirs and chris's every word or you get the heavily used ban-stick. Chris admitted publicly he wont persue hackers, but has enlisted 3 players to hack the game, then tell Chriss about the hacks. ZZZZZ

actually he didn't enlist them. the community was in an uproar because a guild of 'hackers' were lvl 60 after half a day , so he took their names off the rankings, said he was 'hiring' them to help him, and pretty much just lets them do what they want.

there are more than 3 as well, the main dude 'sorien' or whatever just gives chris (gm) the account names of his buddies that also cheat. oh the pvp areas so much fun!::::29::
