Hi everyone. As you can see in the title my question is: Do you have any good games to recomend?
It's been a little while ago since I played a mmorpg now and it's getting kind of boring. I'd appreciate any recomendations and tips (except Wow, wich I think sucks).
I was thinking about Guild Wars, but I'm sure there are other great games.
If you could do a list of the games you think are the best, and perhaps tell me why you think one certain game is, it would be a lot of help
I like games with a good PvP system and a nice community, if you know what I mean
Well... Let your comments flow!
Thanks
EDIT: Sorry for posting another thread like this. Didn't look through that thoroughly around in the forum... Well, since it's already done you can answer anyways

I accept your apology.
Hi! My name is paper. Nerf scissors, rock is fine.
MMORPG = Mostly Men Online Roleplaying Girls

Hmmm.... if you like good PvP then I would recomend City of Villian/Heros.
Oh yeah, it really misses the charm of losing an ear every time some overpowered idiot attacks you.
Guild Wars PvP is mostly fun because of the variety. There are multiple kinds of PvP, with one where you get put into a randomized team of 4 people to battle against other teams, until you lose. If you lose you get put back in the main room and you can just try again with an other random team. Plus, you actually have a goal in a team, even if someone else has the same class(es).
another idiot saying guild wars is just like diablo.
i never played GW but any person with half a brain can see that there is a major difference.
Guild Wars: How is the community? And the PvP, looting and so on? Heard that you can't meet people in the world, just the towns and stuff... How is it?
City of Heroes: How is the PvP system? How is the community? And what about this City of Villains? Is it an expansion or what?
I also heard that Matrix Online is a great MMORPG that I should play. Then to the same question: How is that game?

So you've never played it yet you call me an idiot for comparing it to Diablo. I don't think it takes half a brain to realize one is 2-d and one is DX9 3-d, but the gameplay is very similar. Play it before you flame people for their opinions.

well to answer your q's.
about guild wars community...its what you would expect from a no monthly fee game. it sucks, all there is in towns is a nonstop chain of selling and buying.
no you cant meet people in the world, the towns you can..but the world is just you and your party. the towns have 10 to 100 different(same exact) towns you can sit and 'meet people' in any one of them.
CoH i quit playing after the first month is was out so cant answer you sorry
Matrix online is NOT a good game. whoever told you that is your enemy.
u should try lineage 2 if u like pvp
well, about pvp:
Shadowbane
DAoC
Lineage 2
EVE
UO
and i think that some of the new games like Irth or The Chronicle also have pvp, but not sure.
and then there is Dark & Light, and Darkfall. the first promises too much, lets see how can the deliver it all. the second is not coming in a short time
Bear in mind that i only posted games that i think have a meaningful pvp, with looting, and some kind of story driven pvp
about community, i really dont know what do you expect from community. probably WOW has the biggest community, SWG the most angry, EVE the most adult, GW the most kids (cause it is free). it really depends on what you are looking for. there will be nice people and idiots everywhere. just like we say in spanish "Dios los cria, y ellos se juntan"
yeah, thats because its an OPINION!
i'm sure there are people who don't like the game you like either. i wish people would stop this bs.
mmm, you have disappointed me. i thought you were going to be faster. you are not trying hard enough.
Haven't played it...doesn't really appeal to me.
CoV and CoH are, in essence, stand-alone games. CoV is technically not an expansion, but it plays like one if you were already into CoH. IMHO, both games together makes for some really fun gamplay since you get to experience both sides of the fence (access to all zones in both games, PvP zones, PvP base raiding, etc.). I think you'd be more interested in City of Villains personally since it's basically just like CoH except with better graphics, more interesting missions, and very fun ATs (Archtypes) to play. Not saying CoH is bad, just saying CoV is ever so slightly better.
The non-arena based PvP (e.g., PvP zones and Base Raiding) is REALLY fun. The arena based PvP IMHO is very boring in comparison. The community is very friendly in game, not unusual for a high level to randomly give you influence (in-game form of currency) or enhancments just for free. Powerleveling and whatnot is frowned upon (but people still do it anyway). No bots, very few 1337 KiDDies.
Great? I dunno about that. It's "ok". Played this until just before SOE bought it. At that time this game was good, but it had a LOT of problems to work out (not so great combat via the "Interlock" system, tons of bugs and glitches so you couldn't complete quests). Basically, it wasn't worth playing. I don't know if they've fixed those issues now, but if they haven't then I wou, ldn't bother with it. Also, if you didn't already read about it, SOE just added "real life" advertising to the game. So prepare yourself to see Coke and McDonalds ads in game. If that doesn't bother you, it's no big deal. If it does, this probably isn't a game you want.

Played: Age of Conan, DDO, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, DaOC, MxO, EQ2, and so on...
Wish List: Jumpgate Evolution, Star Wars: TOR, Star Trek
Thanks for all the answers...
Everything I've heard about Guild Wars makes me wonder if it really is that good, since I like games with a nice community and a good PvP-system, with loot, where you actually can meet people outside towns...
Now somebody told me that in City of Heroes I'm only able to PvP in an arena, either 1on1 or Group vs Group.
Wich makes it almost the same as Guild Wars (right/wrong?), except the fact that I can meet people in the city here (?). It isn't possible to start a fight with another player in the middle of the highway or something?
But when I read about CoH/CoV it makes me wanna play it NOW! The archetypes for the villains seems really funny to play!
Any bad critique for these three games; Guild Wars, City of Heroes/Villains, Matrix Online?
Perhaps some other suggestions of good games with a nice community (nice and "mature" people) and a fun game system, inlcuding "good PvP"?
Thanks!

If you like leveling up a lot, then dont play guild wars!(thats why i dont play that game). But if you love pvp, get it. I would suggest City of Villans or Heroes also. Although they have a monthly fee, those games are worth it.

If you want it to be in future city of heroes is a good pick...
If you want to to be in the past with swords bows and that Guild Wars or Lineage I or Lineage ][... Or a free web game RuneScape...
If you decide you don't want PvP ROSE Online or Flyff! But Lineage ][ and Guild Wars is total HardCore! PvP!!
Well, the time doesn't really matter. Even though I like medieval, I like the concept of City of Heroes too... So it doesn't matter...
But how could the PvP system in guild wars be so good? What's the good thing about it? Everything I've read about it makes me doubt the greatness in it. If you know what I mean
