thinking of dwnloading tis game can any1 tell me if its gd?

It's an older game, but its not bad for a free game. Basically a scifi version of EverQuest.
I'd actually go so far as to say it's the best free MMO available, provided it's the type of gameplay you enjoy. It began life as a premium game, and it shows. The graphics are somewhat dated, but still better than quite a few (most?) of the other free games. It does involve some thinking (implant juggling would probably cause an aneurism in your average WoW player), but that's really a strength rather than a weakness. My biggest complaint was that my favorite profession needed to get buffs from two other professions before it could even begin playing, and apparently that's still the case. Still, the game is undoubtedly more polished and of higher production value than pretty much anything else you'll find without paying a subscription. The gameplay can be a bit repetitive in the core game (instanced mission after instanced mission after instanced mission), but there are also places to go, quests to do, areas to explore, bosses to fight, etc.
If nothing else, it's worth the download just to blow up the creatures in the newbie area. It's been years since I played the game, but I have fond memories of that zone. There are creatures called 'leets' and variations of that, and they'll run up to you and say random things like "CN I HAVE UR SOWRD?!!" And then you get to shoot them. It's a little piece of pure joy.
