After quiting PC based MMORPGs in the past because of the complex interface a few years ago, I purchased an xbox and just played online games through xbox live. I ve played Everquest and Dark Age of Camelot and didn't like it. A few xbox live games (Rainbow six Black Arrow, Madden, Black Hawk Down) provided me hours of entertainment but the newer xbox live games started to loose content. The online play of Splinter Cell Choas Theory and Rainbow Six Lockdown were big disappointments to me, so I decided to give a PC game another try. I bought Guild Wars and love it. I hope the online support lasts a longtime because this game changed my mind about PC games and I sold my Xbox. I like the fact that a new player can leave town alone and not be afraid to get lost or die. The "mini" quests help leveling not to be boring. The one thing I don't like about this game is that there are few race, class combinations and the range of a ranger's bow isn't very far (at least starting out). I'd love to see a Rogue class (assassin and/or thief) added to this game. If the PVP was intergrated with the PVE game this would be the best game ever. For instance when you encounter another person outside of a city you are free to join there party or attaack them. This is where an assassin or thief would be very fun. Hiding in bushes, waiting for travelers to pass by, jump out and backstab or pickpocket a few gold pieces..
I know it seems like I am saying this game is lacking things but this Game has made the best first impression on me that any game ever has.

First off, it's good to hear that you like Guild Wars. It's a great game (although many WoW fanboys say otherwise). The reason for so few class choices is that ANet need to release expansions to make money instead of charging a subscription fee. Although funny you should say an Assassin class as thats one of the confirmed ones for the first expansion.
Currently playing: World of Warcraft. Love the Recruit a Friend program!
Waiting for WAR.
