MY PICK IS!!! "drum rolling"

SEPTERRA CORE!! By Monolith in 1999! ::::08::

Story line was out of this world! The side quests were amazing! the bosses were amazing! IT WAS AMAZING!!!

I think it got the shaft because of the cardboard graphics, on point and click. oh.. wells.... AMazing game, and should base a mmorpg of it ::::18::

    really really fresh game when you pick it up for the first time.

    the fact that the game actual centers around a story that is actually well written and involving.

    and the world has so many hidden items and easter eggs.

    it is the best storytelling RPG ever.

    Neverwinter Nights.
    Despite all the awards and stuff it won, it didnt get what it deserved.

    i play on australian servers because racism is acceptable there

    Well, i think that runescape was pretty good and doesnt deserve to be flamed so much....but that would'nt really fit the topic because it is doing fairly well

    when i was lil i use to play those pokemon games!

    never where they mentioned as an RPG

    but lets face it they where

    those games where effing fun

    they should make more of em!

    2 here in my opinion

    Neverwinter Nights = THE best RPG of all time IMO from just the options the game gives you.  Very Good Reviewed but still underated.

    Planescape Torment = One of the best storylines and total ability to do whatever you want.  Awesome game that got awesome reviews but apparently wasn't heard by alot of people.

    I dont think either of those two were underrated.

    Planescape Torment is still hailed as one of the best ever RPG's by many game magazines.  Whenever i see a game top 100 list it is always in the top ten even after all these years.

    Sorry, I just I meant more underated by players.(Many had never even heard of either)  While they both got rave reviews, neither sold as well as I thought they should have.

    i really liked shenmue 2 on xbox. i guess it was an rpg.

    i wouldnt qualifie the shenmue games as RPG's the only thing you could suggest that does is the open endedness and the quests.

    they are a lot more of adventure games......

    Im not sure if this one is considered underated(most of the people i know never heard of it but loved the game after they tried it out), but im gunna go with the 'gothic' one and two =)

    if he was an elf and the towns had dwarves and the bad guys were orcs, but everyting else was the same...

    If it had leveling up and character development in skills, experience etc...
    then yeah it is an RPG.
    Alot of people mistake Zelda for an RPG when it isnt.
    However, Zelda II: Link's Adventure was an RPG
