Ok, maybe someone can enlighten me:
Why do I still see Asheron's Call2 and Earth and Beyond for sale at varaious places?
Why is it that the game is still for sale at a store when the mmorpg isn't available anymore??
Why does mmorpg.com have a link to "buy" AC2??? Why isn't this info. updated here???
Isn't it rather misleading to be selling these games when you can't even play them anymore?
Especially considering that opened software can't be returned??
What would happen if I were to buy AC2 or something else that was defunct? (I'm not willing to risk the money to find out..hehe)
Anyone can clue me in on this?

you should bring a copy of each to the cashier and tell him that these are mmorpg games that are no longer in service.

Planetside is still in operation

Na, Planetside is still going strong, and still very much alive. But I do agree, I recently still see AC2 all around along with a plentiful of other games no longer in existence.
Our link is dead, which is a problem unto itself. We'll clean that up.
As to the stores, I suspect that the fault of the stores themselves who bought the product before these announcements and is now stuck with it. However, Turbine and EA should probably have sent out a notice to them (although they probably did and they were ignored).

my thoughts exactly.
Nuffsaid
Stores were supposed to send back or destroy copies of AC2 if I recall correctly. Also the "buy" button on the MMORPG.com and on the official AC2 site do not work. The links are dead.
