Hi, this is a video of a Xbox 360 crashing which was one of the articles on gamershell.com.
They dont know if this is a big time issue though you can download it at this link and read the topic.

This is exactly why I do not buy any console for at least 5 months after release. PSP pixel freeze, PSP left controller jamming, etc etc...

I am not suprised people are po'd and there is an outcry it even made the damn local news here. Frankly buying a 1,200 LCD monitor with a few dead pixels is much worse

I have a friend that works at a gamestop. His manager recently went to a conference and told him that most of the other managers were complaining about their 360 displays breaking in under a week. I think he said they have already went through 2 xbox360s or so as displays at his store too.
I would wait a while on this one for sure.
You guys must understand that not all devices come out of the factory perfect. That is why you are able to SEND IT BACK. It's called warrenty. This goes for all electronics. This guy just might have gotten the wrong 360 at the wrong time. My PSP has no dead pixels at all.
This shouldn't make your judgement different on buying an Xbox360 if your planning on gettng on.
Oh yeah, this happen to PCs too. Actually your more likely to screw up a PC than you are a console.

Well I had pre-ordered one for my boyfriend as an Xmas gift and went to pick up it on on Tuesday this week, the line up's were super long but the sales guy that had sold it to me in the first place put it asside for me, brought me through the express line and helped me take it out to the car (nasty sized box for such a tiny thing), super nice guy.
I had debated on whether to give it to him right away but in the end, I decided he would probably appreciate it just as much now then a month from now. So when he got to my place that night, I asked him if he could check a problem with one of the legs on my little dinning room table, he found the Xbox 360 with 3 games waiting for him there and he was totally confused, after about 30 minutes of my convincing him that it was his and not some cruel joke me or my roomie were playing on him, I was quickly proclaimed the best girlfriend in the world. /sigh... bout time he realizes it.
Anyways, to the actual point. Although I was really surprised that I wasn't retroactively pushed asside in the name of gaming, it happend pretty quick. He made me diner (yay! but soon to find out I was being buttered up), then quickly hooked it up on my TV and was lost for the rest of the evening.
He finally got to bed around 3 am, went to work and then took today off, the 360 has basically been going none-stop since Tuesday evening and I'm very pleased to say that it has not crashed, stuttered or even shown a sign of letting up in that time. Now mind you, this is certainly not a long test but we'll see, important thing is that he loves it, the games are absolutely amazing, I mean seriously need for speed wanter (although I hate racing games) is stunning to watch someone playing.
Just wanted to add a little positivity to the thread for anyone thinking of getting one.

Shae, It would make the guy even more happier if you play it with him. Then it will take some points of the list of you being ignored.
I really never thought a female would go through buying an Xbox360 for their mate. I guess I'm just at the point yet of understanding relationships. I just became legal this month anyway... I'm still clueless about the real world.

LOL I can wait if it happend to me. My dad's xbox motherboard is fried so we are just geting the 360. I'm just wondering if there will be any problems to it to happen in 5 years.
Seems like all consoles after PS2 (and including PS2) have problems after a few years.

ya but this is probably the glitchiest console release ever......
the PS2 wasnt this defective when it was initially released but it wasnt perfect......

Not many women follow this direction of choice and decision. Hopefully everyone can have a female like you. As long as you know that a video game can be as close as mans best friend...and cars. So don't pout when ignored lol.
