As we started debating the main features of The Chronicle in here (starting with permadeath on which CG gave a great explanation of what they are planning), here's one of the best:
We need skills. Lots of skills.
If they have enough diversity and manage to tweak them just right, it will be a killer because I'm so fed up with class based games... I want to be able to do whatever I'd like to at any given time. I want choices. I want unlimited strategies. I want surprises!
I heard some players say that they would miss not being "the tank", "the mage", "the healer", "<insert stereotype here>"... but the fact is that you can still specialize into any of those if you wish!
Just let me play my hunter-rogue-healer-juggler-whatever...

You got it.

I would like to see new skills added to the game often. Imagine if like, in addition to regular bug fixes, some patches added all-new learnable skills to the world that players can shoose to learn and use. In other words I hope the skills available at release are not the only skills there will ever be.
Guild Wars 2 is my religion
what i want the most right now is a good skill system and a good fighting system im so tired of all other mmorpg where you make your special move...wait for it to charge up...do it again...i want to be able to aim and to move while fighting to evade thier hit.make a strategy against my enemy while fighting.look for his weak point... and i want it to be smooth and look good!like www.rakion.com but in a mmorpg ^-^v
also i so want to have tons of choice in armors and weapon im so tired to look the same as everyone else because there are no better armor for this lvl..i want some diversty!
what im scared about with thier "use your skill so you get better" system is that cheater will be all over it...so im wondering what exactly will the do to prevent that...allright i wanna get better at casting spells lets make a macro where i cast...cast...cast...sit down....get up...cast...cast...sit... i hope there wont be any of that..

well thats what i hope they will think about ^-^ i mean there are other situation like a heal bot that could just follow you and just heal you when you need it.so therefore hed get exp at his healing skill while not being actualy there...i guess im paranoied since in every game i see tons of hackers/abuser and im so tired of it.
This is the best part of a skill system-- Not only can you be whatever kind of specialist you want to be, but you get to decide exactly what you can do. And if you need to do something different, you can change and develop those skills instead.
It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

lol yeah really i had given up on mmorpg because they all have the same boring class system and fighting system...
me and my friend like 2 week ago were talking about what we wanted in a mmorpg...we first started like...well a morrowind mmorpg would be nice where you actualy use your skill to be better and fight in real time being able to use your own playing skill to be good...with a skill based system and not some anoying set in stone class system...and also a smart ai system where mobs would stop being so dumb and npc so boring...
And bang 2 week later i read about The Chronicle!
So im pretty happy and excited because this one is my last ray of hope in this boring mmorpg world.
but it just seem too good to be true really.
I WANT IT TO BE GOOD!
TC has Huge potential and I have high hopes that they break the mold that most games have been using for quite some time.
Stack that with a good community and we will have something great.
I like the idea of being able to customize as such. And yes, in theory you can still be a sort of class...just not so stereotypical like in some games...you can mix and match
