What's a good server population for hib, ive all ready tried albion (23 heretic) and midgard (7 shadowblade) and im ready to try hib and i was wondering what class would be best for RvR except stealther and server population for hib
Comments
Pick a server with high population. DAOC is nice in that it shows how many people are on. Just sort by population and pick a big one.
As to classes?
The following hib classes are ESSENTIAL to RVR:
Enchanter (Spec for PBAOE)
Bard (Insta mez)
Believe it or not: Druids
Warden (though you won't be putting out a lot of damage you ARE essential)
Also essential is the Hero (true for all the realms)
Now if you meant a solid SOLO class for RVR?
There really isn't one. Enchanter is probably the best if you plan to solo in RVR (which would be dumb anyway. Real RVR is not solo friendly except to the stealther classes).
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Well I'd like to disagree. Enchanter is a usefull class but you will find Eldritches more often. Both have the same pbae, but while the enchanter is limited to one single nuke and a pet, the eldritch has aoe disease, snare dd and aeo-dd, nearsight, numerous debuffs including aeo strength/con and aoe dex/quick.
Much more utility and can therefore also be played in a more melee-oriented group, whereas the enchaner is basically limited to caster-setups.
Thanks guys, I went Eldritch and i was asking some people on what i should train into and they all said light beacuse it brings more to the table but i don't know if that's true so I went light anyways and likeing it but i was wondering if there was a better spec at 20 for thid?
I like void myself but I won't encourse anyone to spec that. It is nice for the BG imo because of the long range on bolts, but not as useful in NF.
I will give you the low down on what is best for each:
Light: nearsight and mez. The spec DD is only level 45 so will be resisted more and the amount of damage it gives over the other DD is not worth it as far as I have been able to tell.
Mana: Gives PbAoE that has a huge amount of damage. Disease and Debuffs are ok. The spec DD has snare on it that can be nice. Further you get a DD at 50 so less resists.
Void: Long range powerful bolts. The problem is that they are very hard to land. They can miss, be blocked, and resists really cut down on damage here. Much more useful in the BG than NF, but still viable in NF if you know what you are doing. You get some ok debuffs. You get two AoE DD spells. One is nice to hit an entire group the other you can target the group and so some nice damage. Both are good for keep defense. The issue with AoE spells like this is that it will break a mez. So as a void eld, espically in NF you will find yourself often just using your baseline DD or a bolt on a caster.
The base DD can get to level 47 and does almost as much damage as the spec from mana. I would base your decision more on what type of caster you want to be. Long range then go void, close up then go mana, support then go light. The DD is not really worth it over the base DD so you need to base your decision on if you want NS and mez or PbAoe or Bolts.
Light is fine, although a bit dificult to level up with. In groups you would need mana spec (pbae dmg). Light is pretty good in pvp, but kinda sucks later on in PVE. So my advice would be to go mana at level 20 and level in groups till lvl 50 and later respec to light, once you are ready for RvR.
But I have no idea how easy it is to find groups on yuor server so you could aswell stay light and level up solo (if this is possible at all, no idea)
