Thinking of Coming Back

in Dark Age of Camelot

Hey guys, I am a long time MMO player who has played most games out there.  I am currently subscribed to CoV, but for a long time, been considering coming back to DAoC.  I own both SI and ToA, and played for a little while after ToA was released, but then unsubscribed.  I have read all the opinions of other players about the server clusters and ToA hatred image  I have a couple of mid to high level chars and I guess I am just wondering, if at this point, it is worth it to come back?  I am defenitely intrested in the Catacombs expansion and look foward to that if I return.  Also, what are the best servers to join right now, in population terms that is. Any advice/input would be very welcome and greatly appreciated.

    All servers are fine (population wise) except for Mordred, Gaheris and Ector.

    I have been away from the game since a few months b4 catacombs as well. I cancelled my account though anyone know how long mythic keeps accoutns before they delete them? I cant imagine going through all those artifact raids and ML raids again

    They never delete an account for inactivity so everything will be there when you come back.

    Yes it is definitely worth coming back. I was also an old player who has played, literally, every major MMORPG on the market and most of the minor/no-names as well. Since SWG got nuked into oblivion by the NGE I returned to DAOC about 2 weeks ago. I am loving it and wish I'd come back long ago....

    The game is better than it ever was in the past.

    Highly recommend going out and getting all the expansions. If you're a hard-core PVE and PVE Raid person then you'll love TOA... If you're a hard core PVP player you probably will prefer to move to a "classic" server.

    Either way, the game is VERY fun. I haven't had this much fun in an MMORPG in, literally, years.

    I had a lvl 50 chanter and lvl 50 champ both ML 7+ and 15ish activated artifacts but that was before the airforce and 12+ hrs a day now I am lucky to squeeze one hour a day in not even worth trying to go to the frontiers with that kind of time although the game does sound so so so much better now
