Hi, My name is Kane Hart. Let me warn you before you start to read don't flame me or others on this and don't flame my bad english!
I started a game called Ashbrook Prime. I got ideas started look for a team. I was using the torque engine from garagegames.com so I looked for a programmer. His name was Tom Oliver or some of you may of heard of him Tom316 I think it was. Something around them lines.
We started get more staff and become big. We had some web troubles I moved to a new server. Well got some issues there and such but later on the hosting become stable. After few weeks almost month + Tom was starting take control first he worked under me now he co owns the company with me.
We started Game Arena as the main company. Tom also splits me and him into 2 diffrent projects. Ashbrook Prime and Age of Darkness. He works on Age of Darkness and of course I started Ashbrook Prime I might aswell be the one to lead it. I sort of complained about this but as tom was starting win people over me I was worried he may try to over take the who project.
Ashbrook Prime has most storys and ideas done up. Age of Darkness had more models and programing done. ( Lets stop there you may of heard tom say somtime christmas there be a beta release or somthing crazy? Well this guy wanted push the game into beta after like 6 months and not only that BOTH of the games. lol) Anyways he fired one of the guys on my team and I agreed but wish he asked me first. The person was stealing peoples models and content off the web for our project. Well the store ideas he also put in as we worked with them were like 99% stolen. So guess what. We scraped him and all that work.
I decided we focus on the 1 Project only Age of Darkness..
After week + it was starting to get better over time I put almost 800US into the project but I thought it was well money spent as now were getting progress. But tom was to busy Aiming for money goals and beta testers more then actual content.
All the sudden Tom left.
Thats it He left tried contact him pmed him emailed we had somone phone he just disapeared.
I found out few weeks later hes posting at garagegames.com under Tom Oliver. Same person found. He ignored any of my emails posts and not only that the reason I knew ahead of time when he was missing for few days that he was gone forever. The server we were renting dedicated one in the usa just had some fresh torrents put onto it... HE WAS USING AS A DOWNLOAD SERVER FOR PERSONAL USE CUZ HES ON 56K
Anyways. I want to thank Nen who stayed with me to the end.
Sucks I and I alone put all the money into the project basicly as tom had most things already from before. And the staff and my self for putting lots of time into this I almost took semester of college for this.
But thats the story the truth I'm Kane Hart the owner of Ashbrook Prime and the co owner of Game Arena Dot US.
You can do a search see I posted here before under this user about ashbrook prime.
I also give the admin permission to delete http://mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/setView/overview/gameID/211 off your game list and also would like to say sorry how we failed the players and how well some people made to many promisses that they could not keep!
