When Lag Messes You Up In A Game . . .

Have you ever done any kind of "destruction" to anything because of it? Something like THIS (if the language is bothersome I'll edit)?

I get real mad when I die from lag in MMORPG's. I either punch my screen or this huge pillow on my bed. I get more fustrated than mad though. What about you guys?

I could never get into the game that much...unless it was tourney play in CS. But in that case, it's usually on LAN.

     I used to punch my monitor, but when I got a LCD that all changed. I have 2 holes in the wall because of games. Both when I was like 13/14 playing cs. Now that I am 20 I just punch the top of my desk, but that rarely happens, now i just cuss and quit the game, get up and pace.

I only get frustrated with FPSs really. Usually in CS, when I get killed in a really bad way ill get pissed off and swear or throw my hands in the air. I used to get frustrated with UO but that was because I was still on dial up and I can not tell you how many times I got disconnected at the worst times.

I dont really get pissed when i die form lag. maybe a little mad but i dont punch things. Now FPS's like BF2(at lan enters) and CS, i get pissed when i die horribly and i like curse at my computer for being gay(when playing cs b/c of the lag) But mostly i like my computer so... yea

When I played Halo for PC long ago, I got mad at laggers cuz 3 laggers was lagging up so bad with rocket launcher, they was almost teleporting and just randomly shooting. Took all the ppl with good ping out.

This is one of my favorites, he doesnt get nearly as upset as the guy playing Halo though.

This happened when I lived in my old house. Before I moved, I was playing CS in a CAL match.

Four of my teamates went together and all four got killed by three nades being thrown at them.

I got up, kicked over my chair, picked up the chair and threw it at my door.

 

& dang, that movie made me laugh. Makes me remember what I used to act like. Now I usually just kick over the chair rather than throwing it.

Wow, now that's scary.

I can honestly say I've never gotten really frustrated over a game, or angry for that matter, let alone get close to hitting something, especially lag in mmo's, I've always just assumed it was one of those thing you expect with online gaming.

But I grew up with a few brothers that were not exactly the picture of patience when it came to gaming, or anything else for that matter so I've certainly seen it happen on more then one occasion.

I think the worse it ever got for me was back when I used to play SWG and our PA started using teamspeak for pvp and all that. I'd try not to talk but eventually it would just come out, the guys would hear a girl and I'd get non stop harrasment until I would just give up and log out. Some of it was just guys being guys doing their thing, but alot of it was just downright disgusting... but yeah that used to get me really smoking.

I'll sit back in my chair.  Sigh, rub my eyes and put my hand on my forehead.  Then, I start pressing the last key I was using at time of lag.  Each press of the key gets a little harder to go along with the accompanying roar.  At the crescendo, the windows are rattling from the roar and the keyboard is jumping like a car with hydraulics.  Then, when the action finally executes, I stop and continue play.

Mostly when I get lag its when Im doing something that is "demanding" that has to have me right there in the action. but noo it never lags when im just sittin around

its not so much that im mad ... its just the fact that one of your little scrawny friends could pwn you that bad

and when im playing css and i get knifed... whew its not healthy around me... i might take a few laps around the house or do some situps and then take my little wrestling guy that i had when i was little and pin the shizmo outta him ahha

When I start playing FPS a lot, like when I get into a BF2 mood, and ive been playing it a week or so.
I start to get a little more edgy than usual, little jumpy.

And if im not doing good, you know, a sniper is pissing you off, and your dieing constantly, and your squad sucks.
FFS became my new catch phrase... I never really hit anything tho, I just swear waaaay more than usual.
