It is a fact that they have cut Customer service to one degree or another. They didnt do this on a whim, they did it in response to not needing that many people due to lower game population.
If the population has fallen that much then probably the next thing will be server consolidation.
This is a very slippery slope that is hard to recover from.

That's the problem Sharky... You see it as a "more accesible SWG". That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. Problem is that me and most others see it as a "more dumbed down SWG" and that's not a better SWG. They attempted to turn into a MMOFPS and failed, it's stuck in the middle between MMORPG and MMOFPS, but not in a good way, kinda like the wet, sticky spot on the bed.
At the end of the day, if you find it more accessible, fine. But the fact is that they've removed this fine, intricate and different system they had in favor of another meh! title. And trust me, there are better meh! titles out there. It won't survive as it stands!

Not unless / until EQ 2 tires me. SWG is just a freebie for me now since I am paying for an All Access Pass so I get the extra character slots and access to all their mediocre games along with EQ 2 which I feel is still a quality product.
And just to clear things up abit, you said no more days of elitist SWG at the end of the original post I commented on. That would mean apparently to YOU that SWG was about nothing more then getting jedi. Its too bad that was all it was too you but there was plenty of people that it was FAR more too then that. And the majority are not jedi currently. I would say between 40% - 50% are, thats not the majority. SWG was never elitist unless you made it into that for yourself.

It was never all about being a Jedi for me. I played more with my BH/Smuggler than any of my other Characters. I would totally agree that SOE have dumbed the game down and betrayed the vets.

I understand that many people aren't into the speed or simplicity of the NGE. Unfortunately thats the way the game is now and it isn't going to go away.
SOE have made some drastic changes that they knew were going to cause problems but I truly believe it was for the greater good. I think this will be reflected in time. I am not blind, the NGE is far from perfect. We need to give it time. And yes, I know some of you are going to say you have given it time. Well it's time for more time if you are planning on sticking with SWG.
I don't like to be harsh but it just baffles me why some people stick around and naysay constantly. It won't change a damn thing. If you know SOE then you know this. Thats why I say get over it and move on!

I know the person who posted it, have known him for years. Have no reason why he would lie... especially when he plans to stay until January to give it a chance.
