Because I'm starving for a First Person action RPG in which avoiding/disarming traps and solving puzzles can be done.
I don't care for 3rd person RPGs much because I don't find them immersive at all.
I'm an Eye of the Beholder fanatic, for fun's sake, I don't want the genre to die!
I'm also waiting for Grimoire, still hoping it will be released someday.
Except for the Dungeon Lords fiasco which I'm glad I didn't know about before it was flamed to death by the poor guys that bought it,
if you saw such a game in the past 2 or 3 years, I may have missed it so please tell me about it.
For example, are there traps and puzzles in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines?

Yo man, I'm not even done with the GOTY version of Morrowind and my dad's X-Box motherboard crashed. Have you played TES III: Morrowind buddy? If you have'nt I suggest you check it out (being that you didn't mention it seems that you never played it).
I'm getting it for Xbox360, it sucks that it was delayed, but they can take another year if they one too to get the bugs out.
BTW, you can go into 3rd person, but it's pretty much played first person. I only go into 3rd person when traveling most of the time in Morrowind.

RISING DRAGOON ~AION US ONLINE LEGION for Elyos
Thanks Riki, there goes the list.
I played to:
- Anvil of Dawn
- Deus Ex
- Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2 (passed on the 3rd)
- Gothic 2 (3rd person but great)
- Lands of Lore 1 (passed on the 2nd and the 3rd)
- Morrowind (including Tribunal and Bloodmoon)
- Wizardry 7 and 8
Yeah, yeah, I know I passed on Dungeon Master 1 and 2 and on Daggerfall.
Well, too old, too late...
I couldn't force myself to play Ultima Underworld 1 or 2 either.
Others I should have enjoyed but got bored with for various reasons
(lame storyline, graphics, clumsy UI, bugs, "I don't know why"...):
- Albion
- Arx Fatalis
- Betrayal at Krondor
- Ishar 1, 2 or 3 (can't remember)
- Legend of Valour
- Shadowcaster
- Stonekeep
- System Shock 2
Nice list. I have to admit It took me a while to step up from Final Fantasy games to see what others are out there. I went up to playing Gauntlet and some others (there was one for xbox, but I forgot the name). Morrowind is the real RPG that really fasinated me. It show me how bad in depth and lengh the recent Final Fantasy games was (except FFT) and to think that a company from the US did this is just amazing.

Thanks Finwe,
Yeah, Troika's demise is sad.
I think I might give VtM: Bloodlines a go if I can find it in a bargain bin somewhere.

And thank you too, Scorpes,
As you can see in my list, I already played to Gothic 2 (and passed on the first one).
What's up with DAoC? Traps and Puzzles???
