Dudes, they are fucking with us. I F5 "is not yet open" . 1 MINUTE later "no spaces left". 10.000 KEYS GONE IN 1 MINUTE, NO FUCKING WAY!
Promptly at 1pm EST, I tried and it said they weren't open yet. Tried again at 1:01 and got the message that all the keys were gone.

I don't know. Maybe all the SWG'ers camped the site to get a key... there's a lot of them and they're angry! I can just see them mashing their keyboard and grumbling under their breath. And... there are a lot of disgruntled gamers on the intardweb who are looking for something to play. OR... it's shenannigans!
I did get one though.
Dammit I hit 'register' right as my clock turned to 1 and it said I was too early.. by the time I typed my info back in there were none left ><
Oh well L2 is still fun.
I guess it comes down to variations in local clock settings, i started hitting that subscription button 1-2 mins before 6pm UTC, my local time and got my account after a few clicks, 30 secs later they were all gone - thats 10.000 accounts in about 1-2 mins LOL.

Grats to those who got a key. You'll see the actual state of the game for the next 4 months and be able to report back to the rest of the community.

Those keys really went fast. I sincerely hope all the true fans of DnL were able to get a key but I have a feeling thats not the case.
This is the cruel reality with this deal. The hopes of so many fans are that they can play the game in a few days, for the xmas holidays. However the reality for many is they will now have to wait until April or beyond. Some solace can be found though that they did make mention of future waves.
Unfortunately a lot of people with a mere passing interest likely tried to get the keys too because it just takes a few seconds and then they are eligible to try the latest, hottest mmorpg available. Im in this second group but I definetly concede its not fair.
Hope when the forums come up that we will see most people who really wanted got them.

Are you certain you were 'on the dot'? Did you update your PC time prior to applying?
I ask because they were in fact not open until 30 seconds after 6pm GMT, I tried 'on the dot' twice and they were not yet available. My third try was 35 seconds after 6pm GMT and I got the key. I hope you didn't lose out because your sytems clock was slightly out as that would suck.

It's not that big of a deal, I don't think. They did say that there will be other waves and if they let in 10K at a pop, a good many of those following the game will get to try it out. I can't remember... is there an NDA for SoG? Since it's not a beta test, per se, but a "prelude" (hehe), I shouldn't think so.

yes, my system time is correct. I just thought it was funny that 10k keys for this POS game were gone in under a minute...oh well heh.
What's funny is that a lot of assholes probably has 10 windows open, all with different accounts they created and clicked on each, so they could Ebay the remaining ones they don't need. People suck...what are you going to do.
It will be funny watching the DnL DEVs scratching their heads when they say to themselves, "Hmmm, we gave away 18,881 keys, why are there only 9,000 people playing?"

I'm sooo happy i got one, im a diehard fan of DnL and have high hopes for it.. I even ordered upgrades for my comp yesterday, switching from a pentium 4 2.5ghz with a 6600GT to a new AMD SLI mobo with an amd 64 3200+ with 2x 7800GT's

I picked up a key for a friend. I started clicking at 9:59 alternating two different windows with her accouint information until it came up confirmed about 15 or maybe 30 seconds past 10 am. I am sure there were many greedy people registering 5-10 accounts using this same method.
No denying that there isn't a following for DnL or a demand for a good pvp game. Unfortunately it does not look like DnL will meet that demand.
There's no NDA for SoG, but there will still be a NDA for the closed beta going on while SoG is happening.
