All I have to say is people are pissed to say the least.If SoG isn't released on the 13th, the support for that game is gone imo.They had ample time to say, derf der der! The registration is on the 8th, and the servers will be up on the 13th.These guys seriously need to go to business school.I hope they didn't spend that 500k they got from pre-orders yet, because if they postpone it again, they just might have a nice big debt to pay back alot of the people that pre-ordered.Go ahead and flame if you don't agree, but remember this, I think getting flamed is fun.

I consider myself a very patient person, but this 'Oh by the way, it isn't going to be live today but in 1 week' in the last minute was a bit off... doesn't really make a good impression.

I've been trying to get a refund from them for the past 2 weeks. They accidentally double billed me for 2 pioneer accounts. When I called ClickandBuy and asked them about a refund they said Farlan accidentally doubled billed 1000 of their customers and that Farlan is handling the refunds. They told me I should have my money back by Friday.
Well Friday came and went with no refund. I had to send DnL customer support 3 emails over the course of a week before they even responded and actually acknowledged my email. They gave me a ticket number and said they're "working on it."
The shady thing about it all is that they never once made an announcement on the forums informing people that they were aware of the double billing issue. They never even sent me an email telling me about it even though they knew they had double billed me.
I have zero faith that a company this shady and incompetent can actually produce a game that will be worthwhile.
I get chills up my spine when I imagine how brutal the in game customer service is going to be when the actual game launches. Apparently billing issues aren't important to them, so I doubt a missing longsword or stuck character will be high on their priority list either.
The worst part was people were posting on the DnL boards this morning that the server wasn't going to launch until the 13th, and the AD Mods were locking the threads saying they would not reply to rumors.
I have been patient too, and defending Farlan/AD, but no more.
I will give them until the 13th, make sure I print out and screen shot the thread on the forums where it says as long as you haven't logged into SoG you can get a refund for your pioneer order. And if the servers don't launch on the 13th, I will ask for the refund, forget about it, and move on.
Their communication with the fan base and paying customers is worse than SOE!

ouch double billing? thats an interesting bit.. so they have somewhere close to 1 mil of peoples cash.. I think they delayed the game a little more so they can leave the country!

Yup, sadly I posted exactly what would happen before the forums went down.
That they'd drop the forums, put up the registration and say that nothing would happen till the 11th, per the rumor that was running around this morning.
I also doubt the 1 minute claim everyone is making. At 17:00 GMT I visited the site from work, it said that registrations were open. I even tried to sign up, but since I'm a sucker^H^H^H^H^H^Hpioneer, it said I didn't have to sign up. So, I'm pretty sure signups were possible for an hour or so, not just 1 minute?
...I'm also suspicious about the whole "Servers will be available December 13th" which was on the page, then disappeared after 10 minutes or so...
...and the whole "SoG will be available Dec 8th" turning into "SoG will be available for registration and download on the 8th" then "SoB will be available for registration on the 8th and download on the 9th"...
I really really wanna be positive about this game, but wow.. I'm really not seeing any reason to be right now.
I hate to break it to you freind, but, there will be people that defend this game long past it's dying breath.
SoG was to be registered and downloaded on Dec. 8th. Now it's the 13th for download. Soon it will be Dec. 20th... then... who knows.
Some will retain a degree of realistic optimism, some will become flame-masters of the universe, others will be fanbois until the day they die. My guess is, 90% will be in the fanboi category until the dark&light mainpage is taken down (if that happens).
Such is the spice of life, I assume.
I know people are upset about the SoG delay until the 13th, and I understand.
I'm a pioneer. I payed for DARK AND LIGHT and will not get angry unless it's May and I can't play.
Sure, SoG is part of the Pioneer Pack, but it's just supposed to be a gift to their loyal customers, not something to get upset about! If I can't play for five days, that's okay! It's free!

Umm, I see plenty "fanbois" posting their disappointment now. And you wondered why people like Jackdog, Zippy or me were zynical about DnL ever being released? Now you KNOW what it feels like to be betrayed like this. Consider they wanted to release this game in 2003! Imagine what all of us longtime ex-fans felt like when we were treated like shit more than once by NP3 and AD. You think this is bad? Just wait for the actual release December 13th. For now it has only been delayed, but come December 13th, you'll actually see the state the game is in, which will utterly shatter your dreams of DnL-greatness. That will be the day when I for one will dance and yell "Told ya so!" with a glass of champagner in my hand.
It is slightly rewarding to see though that you're finally waking up to the cold, hard reality.

They were gone in the time it took me to type in my info and hit submit and I type 70wpm. They were not up 15 seconds. I am on a big pipe cable 1.5 - 2 mps upstream so lag was not even an issue. Smokwe and mirrors
