Trust me, you don't want a DDO Beta account.
Why not? I LOVE the DDO beta account I may or may not have!
haha, you drank a whole bottle of tequila (.750 size?) at a hockey game and no fights broke out??
My only fear is I tested and played Horizons. It did not, could not, would not deliver on all the promises and hype. I kept trying to like the game, but it wasn't for me. I hope D&L is better. I got a free key using the old click method. Just one, for me. My roomie tried, but they were already gone because he put in wrong pw first time, and by the second time he could try - all gone! I didn't buy a Settlers key, I want to see the game before slapping down any money.

You must be a fan if Guild Wars then.
DnD should be about careful planning and group execution, not a mach 3 dungeon rape. That's all I'm saying.

Actually, I don't like GW. My husband and I bought one each when it came out and played for about a week or so. That's as much time as it took to completely lose interest. The PvP had some possibilites, but I just couldn't maintain any interest. I've not found a decent PvP game since SB crashed and burned.
Personally, I'm at a loss to understand why people fthink DDO is so similiar to GW... must be the instance thing, or something. Even the concepts seem completely different to me.

You're confusing open/late closed beta with alpha/early closed beta.
In open or late closed beta, at least 80% of the content should be implemented and already in-game. This is the phase where you find bugs and glitches and stuff. If they don't even have 25% of the content by open beta, then they fail.
Trust me, Dark and Light is going to fail unless if they stop being such a damn hideous company and stop making empty promises, but then it's already too late. I know what I am talking about.
